There's also a string escape vulnerability in the apple id login page, meaning you can insert arbitrary xmlui code in the OOBE setup and access the full internet. Also, you really need either a mac or jailbroken iphone with otg cable in order to put an iphone 5C into pwned dfu mode. Yes, it IS stupid that it's really difficult/impossible to do that under linux or windows.

It’s not iOS 8 lag, and I too know how to fix it. It’s water damage, as the problem persists on all the screens I’ve tried. Even when the phone is in recovery mode it has the LCD problem.
