94-98 mustangs are honestly my favorite older mustangs! I have a 96 cobra myself with full bolt ons and 3:73 rear end gears, and a good amount of suspension work waiting to get tuned

If it's na the 4v needs 430-456 gears and a sticky tire. If it's got a blower I'd go 4.10 they like to Rev and gears REALLY make a huge difference on them. When they wss new guys would do 456 gears and take off over half second et with just a gear change it's a huge difference. It isn't as crazy low as it sounds with a 7k redline and a long geared t45.

Had a similar starting issue on my New Edge. Ended up being the fuel pump. It would always eventually start and ran fine, but one day finally gave up completely. Upgrade time!

Nice taste. 96 cobra and 17 focus st. I have a 16 fiesta st fbo x37 hybrid e30 tuned it's like 280/280 to the wheels and 2600 lbs. It's a riot! I also have a 750 rwhp gen3r swapped 07 gt500. I once had a 97 cobra and 03 Mach among other mustangs.

Sounds like a fuel problem, could very well have a weak pump or bad regulator.
