TCT is a common failure point. You'll hear it rattling after the car is warm & been driven a bit. Billman on S2ki makes a replacement with lifetime warranty. VTec solenoid gaskets have a tendency to leak, just keep an eye for oil spots below it, super easy & cheap to replace. Fluids, fluids, fluids. Just stay on top of your engine, trans, diff, clutch, & brake fluids & you'll be good. These things are bulletproof. And get a proper S2000 oil filter when you change the oil next. Honda 15400-PCX-004. Congrats & enjoy 🤙🏻

Totally different cars. If you only have 1 car, Type R all day. If you already have a daily, definitely S2k as a secondary vehicle.

Padding in the corner of the top frame to prevent rubbing. Elastic straps if top doesn’t collapse all the way when retracted. You can tell by looking at the top fold when retracting. If it doesn’t fold correctly, it will still collapse but stick up higher. Someone mentioned the timing chain tensioner and they are correct. There are other companies making a replacement also. Check valve adjustment. AP2 tends to be off. S2KI forums are very helpful and have stickies with a lot of information. Car looks great! I am itching to get another also. Hopefully when funds are available, they haven’t skyrocket in price like the NSX.

Congrats! It’s a beautiful car. I used to have a ap2 it was yellow added a cr body kit thing was a blast one of the best cars I’ve owned. Could use some boost but great car to perfect driving skills. These are tail happy be cautious with the throttle when getting out of corners at full speed. I used to drift on on-ramps super fun.

It is guite simple to make left radio panel working with the aftermarket radio. In my 2008 S2000 I have all buttons working with Kenwood radio.

Nice s2k... I'm sure you'll get years of enjoyment out of it. I just put a deposit on a red 2004 S2000 today. It has 79,000 kilometers on the odometer. It is stock except for a rear spoiler add-on and I intend on keeping it that way.

Nice pickup! Change that K&N Oil filter to the Honda OEM S2000 filter ASAP, you'll notice the size difference right away.

I would change all the fluids it's pretty cheap and easy to do yourself, clutch, oil, and diff fuild. I did mine myself and at 110k I would check your TCT see if there is an aftermarket one they tend to go bad after a bit; replace with a good aftermarket one of your choice.

your top isn't folded down right. the bar that you see right behind the roll hoop, that is supposed to go below the fabric. you need to press that bar downwards as you open the top and the top will go down another 2 inches. the position it's in right now can actually tear the top at a weird spot. also, that's just the OEM airbag where the guy just changed it to the Type R style emblem. all the steering wheels for the s2k is the same across different markets. the only difference that i can think of is that the US market may be the only market with the cruise control buttons.... JDM definitely doesn't have that. Also the Type V with the VGS has a different steering wheel design. congrats on the purchase!

You should do the UK exhaust mod with the test pipe. I am not a fan of the ap2 gearing with boost so changing the gear in the diff is a must. lol. If you boost go with a turbo with a gt30. Quick spool and great power band.
