Congratulations on the MK8 R. I just broke my personal best last night at the drag strip in USA and ran a 12.55 at 109.18 mph with a 1.82 60 foot all stock but with the performance model. Can’t wait to see the build soon

Yeah the S3 this generation has unfortunately been downgraded. No rear diff, less power, smaller brakes same as old 8V etc

Lovely motor, nice to see a VW golf back! What are your thoughts on the interior quality? I've just returned a Tiguan R as the interior quality on them is worse than the previous model. Lots of cheap plastics and lower spec interior options

Nice! Hopefully you do better with your MK8 than I did - I had mine for 6 months and it was in the garage for 9 weeks of that time before I forced the garage to take it back. The electronics were garbage and I had a ton of sensor faults which impacted the car massively. Also do you notice how the engine cover is gone? VW had to remove it because it comes loose and can go on fire under hard acceleration. I had the steering wheel replaced and about 5-6 software updates, some of them taking 6 hours+ at a time. Good luck :D

I like it, I think in today’s crazy market it is decent value, for a nearly new current model car. It’s got the pan roof which is a must and the wheels and ride height are extra content it’ll be interesting to see what you go for.
