At 8:20 the black screen view is actually the view for when you use the built in sat nav, there's a setting to move it across into the virtual cockpit. Pointless because I just use apple car play and that cant be moved onto the black screen

The gearbox needs mapping to keep up with the extra power and torque. Its hitting its torque limit I'd say.

Really do like your style of video’s, just watched your last vid at Santa pod. I went pod a few weeks ago, my car is also stage 2 and the best time I managed was 11.9. Can’t wait to see what it does once they fine tune all the little bugs out. Would be good to put them up against each to see the difference 😅👍🏽

As others have said the box needs remapped. There's a little clutch slip audible in the video. Ramping up the hydraulic pressure will sort it but the additional strain is asking a lot of what is an expensive box. *pay to play* life 👍 Great video as always.

Need more clamping pressure from a DSG tune. Sounds like clutch slip. Run a torque-limited tune until a DSG tune comes out.

It sounds as if there's to much slip in the gear box to me. As if the clutches need more pressure. Is there a map available for the box to increase line pressure? Looks like you're loving it anyway mate. Cheers for the video

It’s a faulty coil mate. Ours has done it since new transmission error. Soon as it happened, turned it off and start up again and all the codes cleared but it wasn’t storing the faults🤷‍♂️ VW was baffled for 18months. We’ve just finally had them changed and revised earth from VW also a lot of our problems was the steering wheel. Early mk8 R’s and GTI’s had the fault It’s just had a new one and it’s all sorted

@@TRHamza 99% of the issues are the steering wheel The transmission fault/malfunction comes with first off start stop fault/travel assist malfunction then transmission The steering wheel has a filament running around it to pick up touch from your hands etc Perfect example Activate all the travel assist, radar cruise control etc The car more or less drives it’s self turns corners etc without input but ever 30’s you just need to touch the wheel with you finger to say im still sat in the car. Drove ours to Cumbria and seriously I didn’t touch the Pedals or held the wheel for just about all the journey up We’ve had the wheel changed and a update chip set etc and all the issues are gone You can even turn the sensitivity down on the haptics, map cluster now visible on the drives dash. The transmission you could tell straight away when it was going to do it It did same day we pick ours up lol, faulty coil pack caused by a earth issue but it took ages to found out. First off I thought the clutches where overheated with hard driving etc but it would do it constantly

Had the same problem with the 2022 Cupra Formentor 310hp. I know I know, everyone tells you to break in the engine for the first 1600km but I couldn’t wait so I decided to push it at around 250km. At around 100kph I got all the same lights. Drove it to the dealer and they told me that it was a faulty fuel injector. Something about one of the injectors being too tight so not enough fuel could be pumped through it. They replaced it, never had that problem after and the car has around 21000km now. So maybe that could be the problem. Or the coils, or the transmission should get stage 2/3 software, who knows. 🤷‍♂️

The pod run, sounds like gearbox is slipping into 3rd and 4th. I wonder if gearbox goes in to a limp mode? If that’s actually a thing on new cars, or maybe need more clamping pressure? I’ll be interested to see what the issue is with this.

please change your tune , because the clutch has been slip in the lunch control , also your numbers are not fast as your whp. my audi s3 with intake dp intercooler on 95oct with full weight did 350whp dyno jet , i did 100-200 ( 9.6s ) zero slop , 1/4 ( 11.8s ) -0,22 slop . my car tune with E-tuners. i hope you go better

At the beginning you were all in for the MK8, I notice as the days/months pass by you keep mentioning your MK7, and you do not seem too content as if the honey moon is over and regret acquiring a MK8 R. Does it have a DSG tune? Maybe its maxing out the clutches with the ecu tune. I used to get a drivetrain light on my GTi and a DSG tune, increases clutch oil pressure, resolved the issue.

Nice numbers. I laugh at trying any draggy stuff on my front wheel drive mk2 Octavia ea888 tsi. Got 10.3 100-200 with a cheeky 430 venom turbo, but 0-60 you really need 4wd.
