@DragonEdge102 жыл бұрын
It's a combination of luck and quantity. You're one seller selling legit, meaning you're posting on the same account at a regular pace. Get unlucky, and eBay slams you with a counterfeit claim and take down your listing and you're anywhere from mildly to severely inconvenienced. Meanwhile, these guys are selling using a plethora of semi botted accounts that just keep posting faster than eBay can flag them, so it's not that they aren't getting taken down, it's that they're getting replaced faster than they get taken down.

That homescreen is 100% a PS Vita ripoff, even down to the 3,4,3 layout. Speaking of, I recommend a PS Vita for emulation, they are quite easy to mod nowadays and SD2Vita is very cheap. It's often cheaper than proper emulation machines, but still offers an amazing screen for the OLED model and very good feeling buttons. Also you have access to both native emulators and emulators made for PSP, aswell as RetroArch with different cores, in case one doesn't work well (which I noticed with Final Fantasy V Advance) PS: Loving the background music. And it's so baffling to me why a company takes the scam approach when they almost have a decent device that they could advertise as is. (edit) I bet I know EXACTLY how they got those dodgy games. They've probably had the roms for years at this point. back in my younger days, when I bothered with ROMs, one of the easy approaches was to just find anything with ROMs on TPB, and just download it. this often included huge libraries of stuff that in turn was sourced from some other huge library of stuff. And whooo boy was it not vetted. I have seen things on an emulated SEGA that are permanently burned into my soul like the afterimage of the Windows Taskbar on a CRT.

For 30 bucks this is a very good machine, if it could emulate 16-bit consoles and has decent buttons and screen. Pirated ROMs - well if you are in emulators you cannot avoid this. There should be some term limit on copyright , and also most of these games are now unavailable . Offensive content - who the hell cares. People are tired from all this PC woke crap, if you don't like it don't play it. And you could even erase it.

I don't think a lot of people realize he really can't show those games since he lives in a country without free speech laws, he could be arrested for showing those games/Roms.
@Sakkeru962 жыл бұрын
... what country are you talking about? AFAIK he's from England, as an I, and I don't know what you mean about not having free speech laws - UK law definitely has its issues, but we do have free speech, but I don't think that's relevant to showing objectionable content. I'm not an expert but I feel like the issue would be with the content, free speech isn't really relevant. Am I mistaken in any of this?
@tgheretford2 жыл бұрын
More likely the content of the hacks than anything else would be an instant permanent demonetisation at best. Even the Angry Video Game Nerd won't release his adult Atari games episode on KZbin for fear of reprisals. But somehow, Octavius released an episode on the same topic without repercussions. And at least one of the games covered in both videos is very controversial and would cause widespread offence, even back in the 80s.

@@Sakkeru96 you kind of have free speech? But the police in your country are far more interested in arresting people that make fun of politicians in the country or make edgy comments than they are over literal pedophiles and grooming gangs

@@Scornfull yoooo wh well uh, thanks I guess? I wouldn't say I "kinda" have free speech, I'd just say I have free speech full stop. That fact isn't negated by any shitty actions of police or governmental representatives, at least not yet. Disclaimer: I'm not gonna respond to this beyond this reply I'm afraid. The only cases I know of that match what you described are not the norm, and also not *that* relevant. I don't like our current government, and they would probably restrict free speech given half a chance, but it's still a protected right here - we don't have major censorship last time I looked. I'm not saying there's no problems but that's a different discussion. But, y'know, it's not really that important whether you read this or believe me, reality won't change either way. But you seem to know more than me anyway, and I am more than happy to educate myself elsewhere as necessary. Have a nice day, stranger 🙃

It is very common for emulators to struggle with super mario advance 4: super mario bros 3. It has the largest save file size of any GBA game. Despite being a simple platformer it has the same file size as the pokemon games, but gen 3 pokemon games actually have most of the save data duplicated in the file. Mario has such a large save file size because it supports scanning in e reader levels which add the whole level's data to your save file. When the player beats the elite 4 in the gen 3 pokemon games, the game removes the duplicated save data to make room for hall of fame and post game data, this has a side effect of making many gba emulators no longer be able to read the save after beating the elite 4 the first time. I have a couple bootleg gba cartridges of mario 3 and they also give the save corruption error due to not supporting the save file size, and for a long time injecting the game into the official gba emulator on the nintendo 3ds did this as well.

All the ROM's on these devices are not Pirated as they are all legally distributable. These machines have been avaulable in various designs for many years some portable & some that connect to your TV. The games are available on thousands of sites who clearly state what they are which if illegal would ave been closed down or blocked by ISP's regularly. If you have a laptop or PC you can also freely download the emulators then connect XBox360, PS3, XBox One, PS4 or similar controllers & play without the cost of these machines. The emulators are also available on Android & IOS so you can use your phone or tablet (you can even use your Android TV)
