@@gunerkacz8678 While I'm not 100% positive of that particular trucks specs (Clifford), 1 ton duallys are generally in the range of 32,000 lbs/16 tons. Clifford is far more than capable of hauling a 5 ton truck. Even in the video, it's the trailer that failed, not Clifford.
@iamthecheese27374 жыл бұрын
@Duca, it's easier to hunt deer with rocket launchers too, but that doesn't make it practical. So easier, yes, but not required. His truck was more than capable of hauling it. The trailer failed. That trailer with a tractor would've still failed. Why use a tractor when a 1 ton dually would've more than sufficed? Not to mention insurance and requirements to run a tractor trailer are much higher and uses more fuel, than to just take a pickup more than capable for the need. Infact check out Appendix D page 262 in www.jeepolog.com/UserFiles/downloads/field%20manuals/BDAR%20tm9-2320-356-bd.pdf to see all the viable substitutes. Electrolysis/Cavitation Will Kill the liners in these engines. I run a 50/50 mix here in Arizona. Do NOT put Tap Water in a cooling system... Unless it is an Emergency. I changed Every light to LED, except the headlights of course. There are some GREAT places I have found to buy New and Used parts for these trucks. @@OutlawH2 that's a lot of oil from a small tube, I had that happen in my old commer. It also soaked through the floor into the battery tray and stopped it from charging haha. Don't get the whole truck covered in oil from a sender tube tho

I had a wheel fall off a single axle trailer with all my stuff on I95 when moving south. Pair of boat trailer wheels with radials were put on cause the bias ply wouldn’t have made it. There was rust on the inner part of the wheel where it contacted the hub, rust flakes off lug nuts loosed up and the tire passed me at 70mph. Sheared every single stud right off. Took a few off the other side and put the spare on then limped to auto part stores looking for wheel studs. One had two of them, another had four. Glad nobody got hurt it bounced off the center median wall a few times and I was in the center lane slowing down carefully. Later on I saw that the u-bolt holding the axle on the trailer had been worn down 3/4 past the nut. Another 10 seconds the u-bolt would have let go and the axle would have come out of the trailer. Very lucky that didn’t happen among other things.

Heres a story for you. I was at work and had just had time before home time to get the head back on this Mercedes. we also had the speedo and gauges out of it tracing an electrical problem. My boss asked me "how was it going". I said "its back together and i'll get it going in the morning when i'm fresh". He said "we'll get it going now just to make sure as tomorrow going to be busy". (his talk for "I've booked to much work in for tomorrow"). He jumps in and tells me to watch it as he starts it all in one motion. It starts and runs beautifully. All of a sudden he revs it up and switches it off in a hurry swearing and gets out of the car covered in oil from chin to balls.. Mercedes have an oil line and mechanical gauge in with the speedo which is sitting on the seat beside him. As he gets out the oil line retracts back into the cavity in the dash filling it in oil and trickling out onto the nice cream carpet. Half an hour to clean that up and the boss goes home covered in oil.
