I recommend looking for a Banks Sidewinder Turbo, I had a 89 like yours I used to haul cars to a junk yard, it was slow as fuck. eventually I bough that turbo, and got a hell of a lot more power.

A 6.9 is definitely slower. I can’t speak for the 5.7/6.2/6.5 chevy diesels.

I have a 87 6.9 idi work truck has almost 800k miles on it... still runs strong it just wont die... if you take care of it it will take care of you...

How the rubi running? Has your shifting gotten smoother? My 22 has 12 miles and shifts hard

Shifts fine warm. Cold is rough. Like it so far. Runs like a top
