I bought a John Deere 830. It was parked for 20+ years will it start?

Great job getting that old girl running. I don't know what modal it was but as a young kid back in the early 1950's I remember the farmer near my house had one like this and he ;used to pull wagons of baled hay. You could hear him coming up the hill what a great sound.

Pour a little diesel in the exhaust it will help lubricant the cylinder walls
