I had it when I was 19 years old. I drank a lot of coke and didn’t drink enough water when I exercise. It felt like somebody stuck a knife in me. I drove myself to the ER and they couldn’t figure what was wrong with me. 2 days later when I was taking a pee a stone in a shape of a knife came out. During the entire time my urine was brown, due to the stone cutting through my urinary track. After that I stopped drinking coke and drink a lot of water when I am outside doing work or exercising.

Another car I'll never be able to afford again. I had one when they were cheap, I traded my 328 and a rough 930 in on it. I've only ever had "drivers" because that's why I have cars, I drive them, hard and often and, also, that's what I could afford. I sold them on before they cost me a fortune and I've cried when I had to sell some cars but at least I got to own them for a year or so. I hate speculators, investors and high-end collectors who buy cars and place them in enviro controlled cocoons because they have priced the true enthusiast out of the market for almost everything. I'm retired now and worth maybe a tenth of what I was in the '90s and early 2000s so I'm content with buying and modding far less pricy cars but I still have fun and I consider myself blessed to be (barely but just) old enough to have had some truly spectacular cars before they became out of the reach of mortal men. Nice car Tyler, enjoy.

I still can't believe we got rid of pop up headlights for safety and "dangerous to pedestrian", but we allow lifted pick up trucks, moving brick walls front grills and cybertruck to be on the road...
@joedunn11095 ай бұрын
The biggest reason that popup headlights disappeared wasn't pedestrian safety, it was a change to the law that allowed conformal headlights. In the days of popup headlights, all cars sold in the U.S. had to use sealed-beam headlamps. If you wanted to make a car with a low front end, you had to use pop-up lights in order to conform with the minimum height requirement and use sealed beams.

I had the same with my A/C after service. Mine was a schrader valve. They charged it up and was done by the time i got home. Check to see if your car had the recall done for the seat belt mechanism. There were two recalls if i remember. Just call and have them run your VIN to see if it was serviced for the recall. Wow, freeze frame at 14:53. It has the original goodyear gatorbacks WOWOWOWOW. Honestly, save the rims, grab some kinesis or 512 tr rims, 18" with better profile tires. You might need very small spacers but it changes the car in a big way from handling and looks and its still comfortable to drive long distances. Exhaust is a must and when it is opened up, one of the best sounding cars for sure. (Get the bigger after market stainless steel shift knob. Shifting is even better) Dump the precats, since you have four. The precats were for back in the day when cars were tested at idle they aren't anymore so you can deleted those with no issues. Never heard of a "manual" radiator fan. The should click on. 1988 they upgraded the cooling system. Also, the fuse panel , four main will burn out . There is an upgrade and nooooo available to buy a new one so, change them and upgrade them to larger connectors before they smoke your motherboard the fuses sit in. Cars were meant to be enjoyed especially ferrari's. We both know if you don't drive ferrari's they go to crap and you end up spending more. I drive my cars , slightly mod them and take care of them. Enjoy the TR once its dialed in. With a few upgrades , you'll be driving it a lot.

Very sorry to hear about the kidney stone!! I had one a few years ago and it was the most excruciating event of my life. One week straight of that thing inside me- not fun! Passing it also seemed to have left some permanent damage to something in my urinary tract and for about a year after passing the stone I had constant on again off again sharp lingering pain down there. I was supposed to get a cystoscopy to check it out but chickened out last minute on the examination. These days I just have to make sure I'm on top of drinking water throughout the day or else it hurts to use the bathroom, a problem which only happened post kidney stone. Hope you can pass the stone ASAP. Be sure to drink a lot of water, and move around as much as you can- I slept for 5 or so days only waking up for a couple of hours at a time. Potassium citrate supplements are not cheap but a cheaper alternative recommended by my doctor was to drink a packet or 2 of Crystal Light lemonades a day. It has to be the lemonade flavors (reg., pink and raspberry) because the second ingredient is potassium citrate. This way you get your water and citrate! @JeffDeLamater5 ай бұрын
@@johnchurch4705 Cranberry juice can help with certain types of stones, but unfortunately, it can exacerbate the most common type of stone, calcium oxalate. Cranberry juice is high in oxalates, and may actually increase risk of calcium oxalate stones. It also makes the urine more acidic, which also increases risk of developing calcium oxalate stones. So, without knowing what is causing the stone formation, it's hard to say if cranberry juice will help or make stone formation worse. But, since the most common type of stone is calcium oxalate, unless you know for certain what type of stone you have, I'd avoid cranberry juice.

After going through 5 rounds of that one year, I switched to a different urologist, and this one uses laser lithotripsy, and while it still sucks, the recovery is much easier. Hopefully you won't have any more stones that require surgery, but if you do, see if your doc will use laser instead of ultrasound.

19:00 Welcome to the club buddy. I've had over a dozen Kidney stones and 4 or 5 Kidney stone surgeries. Worst pain i've ever felt. The pain was so bad i was vomiting, shaking like a leaf, and ripping holes in the sheets. Wouldn't wish that pain on my worst enemy. I feel for ya buddy. I will say from my experience with over a dozen kidney stones. The most effective pain relief i've ever felt in regard to a kidney stone, was a medication called Toradol. ketorolac is the generic name. I've been on many different pain killers for stones. Nothing has been anywhere near as effective as that stuff. It's also non-narcotic, has almost no side effects, and it's non addictive. The main problem with it is, you can't take it for more than 5 days in a row, or you can develop an ulcer. It's very strong stuff. However, if you're in agonizing pain from a kidney stone and need short term relief that actually works, Toradol is your best friend LOL!! but i am not a medical professional. This isn't medical advice. I'm just telling you what my own personal experience has been. Good luck giving birth to your new Pet Rock. LOL!!!

Same. I’ve had kidney stones about a dozen times. Sucks every time and my experiences are similar to yours except for the Toradol. I’ve typically taken a narcotic for the pain. If I have another one I may have to give it a try.

I love the idea of a driver’s car. High mileage, womp on it all you want, and not having to worry about depreciation for the most part! Cars are meant to be enjoyed, not rubbed with a diaper in the garage

CERTAIN cars are though, Ferrari F50 for example needs a shrine built around it, and many other rare cars, some of those owners do take them out once in a while which is cool, face it too it just decreases their value.

Kidney Stone! Been there done that. I went septic and into a coma for 3 days. Drink lots of water and push it out hydraulically. The closest a man can get to childbirth or so they say. It IS a royal pain. The vasectomy is nothing in comparison and yes I did that too.

Been there with the stones my friend... I've had a few. One had me in the fetal position for about 36 hours before I went to the ER. they gave me a couple days worth of Vicodin, Flomax to help open things up and get it moving, and some anti nausea meds. They had me scheduled for surgery to get it to pass, but I ended up passing it myself a few days before hand. Mine was mostly sodium ( too much fast food,etc.) doc said my citrate levels were low, and there is a rather expensive drug to increase those, but instead he said lemon juice is a good source, so I have a big glass of real lemonade with supper every night, and started taking a potassium citrate supplement. Citrate binds to excess sodium and helps flush it out before it can crystalize in your system. So that's my advice. ( Not a doctor, I work in retail) Real lemonade, and a citrate supplement.

Kidney stones are caused by a wide variety of problems. He needs to have the type and cause of the stones determined before anything should be done. Acidic juices can prevent and even dissolve two of the most rare kidney stones while using them, even in moderation, can make stones so bad they threaten the life of the kidney itself. Drinking excessive water can make kidney stones worse, especially when there is a blockage. Kidney stones can be caused by too much calcium, too little calcium, or the wrong combination of calcium (i.e. from supplements without supporting vitamins and minerals.) Excessive potassium from your supplement is a *HUGE* cause of some of the worst kidney stones. "Bonds the excess sodium"... That type of kidney stone *IS* bonded excess sodium. Your tiny brain mean to bleat out "prevents the bonding of excess sodium, which is what citrate does... it provides an acidic environment where the sodium can't bond. It, itself, does not bond to sodium. And, again, that only helps in stones where that's the cause.

I sat in the emergence waiting room for 7 hrs last December waiting to see a doctor for the terrible kidney stone pain !!! It was the worse !! But all they did was a cat scan told me I had 2 tiny stones that had moved to my bladder gave me 2 extra strength Tylenol and sent me home !!

sitting in the ER waiting to be seen is the worst. That happened to me with my last set of kidney stones. Though I *only* had to sit on folding chair in a hallway for 4 hours, not 7. But, 3 of the 4 stones that I had were too large to pass. So they gave me some stonk pain meds, got me through the worst of the pain for that day, and the next day I was at my urologist scheduling surgery. Stones suck.

Ferrari: belt service $15,000 every 5 years. Replace clutch before 50,000 miles. 42,000 miles after over 30 years is considered high miles. Why do people want these things again?
