I have definitely been bitten by the belt collecting bug but I've been leaning more into wanting indy belts than the "big brand" ones. I mean yea there are a handful of WWE/WWF/WCW belts I'd like to have but I'd rather collect ring-used indy belts that most likely no one else is going to have in their collection. I actually just picked up a couple a few days ago off a local wrestler that he, in turn, had picked up in a lot sale a while back. Wish I knew more about the promo they came from. Anybody ever hear of a CEW promo, most likely somewhere in the Northeast? The belts (unfortunately) are the rather generic ones you can get on Amazon, one that has plates similar in shape to the WWE Spinner that (the ones you only get to pick text for the "sticker" on the center plate) and it's the "CEW Deathmatch" championship, the other has a white strap and "silver" plates with the main plate shaped kinda like a kite shield. Anyway, if I were to enter and win one of these giveaways and had my choice from this lot I'd go for the FSW Future Legend belt. Not at al la fan of the new US or IC belts (although the stones do make it slightly more visually interesting and if that one had the blue paint as well it might actually look good) and I absolutely cannot stand the lazy AF "big honkin' W" design that WWE has been absolutely obsessed with for the last like decade it feels, so all of those would be a hard pass. Also not keen on having just one tag belt so those would be out as well, leaving only the Heavyweight title and that one to me feels like it tries to hard to mix "the best of both worlds" from the classic "Big Gold" and the "Big Honkin' W" eras and frankly wound up with the worst of both, i.e. a large, obnoxious W in the middle of "gold on gold on gold" that obscures all detail. I think the best "Big Gold" was, I believe it's the Crumrine or however that's spelled, the one that had sort of a silvery patina as the background with the lettering and details in gold so they really popped. But yea, overall I'd pick one of the indy belts with the FSW-FL being my first choice.
