That deposit had nothing to do with WCW. Flair never paid the deposit anyway, Crockett did. And beyond that, Flair forfeited the deposit when he refused to drop the belt, which was the whole point behind the deposit in the first place. The deposit was an NWA thing, not WCW.

Usage of the Hogan ‘86 Belt was discontinued because Hogan complained the top half it would constantly dig into his abdomen when he wore it. So they reverted back to the previous design and no one was the wiser.

There was a huge heavyweight title belt designed specifically for Andre the Giant, if he decided not to lose at Wrestlemania III (he was so big and strong that if he decided he didn't want to lose, there was nothing anyone could do anything about it). Of course, it wasn't needed.

I'm mad as hell TNA actually had that beautiful world television championship belt and they never used it in TNA didn't have an international championship but they did have a a global championship which was essentially the same belt that was used for the Legends championship and the TV titles people would have taken that TV title more seriously if they had used a different title instead of repurposing the Legends championship

That TNA mid-card title was also known as the Global Title when Eric Young had it during World Elite stable. Than AJ won it and it became TV title.

I had a chance to see the Rock's unused Brahma Bull championship belt on display during a Summerslam fan event before one of the LA shows, sometime in the early-2010s. It's honestly a beautiful title, I just think they could've done without the lightning accents on the face plate. The red in the eyes and the blowing smoke worked perfectly.

There was a moment years back when the draft ended and Raw at the time had both Champions on their show, the Smackdown decided to make their own Heavyweight Champion. I remember that they were about to reveal it then all of a sudden the current Heavyweight Champion switched to be on Smackdown. I believe they were naming it something like The Smackdown Heavyweight Champion.

7:35 you’re absolutely right, it does lack the filler that would make it whole but I love this design. I could go either way with the giant WWE logo that they love. I hate calling certain years in wrestling an “era” but this has to be from the infancy of the Ruthless Aggression era due to the logo. It’s the old scratch WWF logo which they kept for a bit after they changed to the WWE. Which to be honest I wish they would’ve never changed their name and kept it WWF. A lot of people don’t know that lawsuit was just for the UK. They only had to go by something else there but instead they decided to rebrand the whole company. They should’ve kept the WWF name, it was a much cooler abbreviation in my book.

Crockett decided against putting 'NWA' on the big gold belt in case at some future point he wanted to leave or was forced out of the NWA. At this point Crockett wanted more control over the NWA title and didn't want to the follow the original NWA bylaws where the NWA board controlled who had the title. He had the Superstation and Flair was his guy, so the other members did capsulate because they didn't want to completely lose out on having Flair defend the belt in their promotion and not to mention losing on the chance to having their wrestlers occasionally appear on the Superstation. And also so that the more powerful JCP would not run shows against them in their territory. So Crockett not having the letters 'NWA' on the belt, was just in case the other NWA promoters called his bluff and kicked him out of the NWA which they could do per the bylaws. He basically told the other NWA promoters that they either do things his way or he will 'take his ball (access to the Superstation and Flair) and go home'.

I've always wondered what the Smackdown World Championship was gonna look like, Teddy Long had it in a bag in 2005 after John Cena and Batista was both on Raw, JBL won a 5 pack challenge to become the Smackdown World Champion, but Batista got drafted to Smackdown with the World Heavyweight Championship. I wish they would have at least showed the title.

Not quite right about the big gold. Jim Crockett was the backer of getting that belt made and he is the one who vetoed having it say NWA, as many assumed he saw JCP leaving the NWA at some point. The NWA board was not involved with getting the belt made.
