I had a crt sanyo tv and a windows xp computer i grew up with as well.

I had just graduates high-school in 2007 and working at a smasclub I was on my mom's Verizon account but paying my share of the bill and when the lg dare came out I gave her the money and had her order it for me with shipping I paid just over $500 for it i remember my mom saying I was crazy for paying that for a phone then said it's the size of a deck of cards that phone is huge it's comical to look back at it now and how much bigger and expensive phones are

Conect a powersupply with the same voltage to the correct battery terminals on the phone (or sandwich them between the battery and phone) to give them juice to power them on. Battery usually dies before the phone. Used the method a couple of times

The question you asked about the first phone that Moto hint or whatever, that one blew my mind because I had the literal sideways qwerty slide version of that phone called the Moto Rival and it was my first phone ever in 2009. It was so unique inside out and was only half touchscreen, half buttons. You have to look it up lol

That Nokia is a 1600b, where the "b" means it's an American model, not an European/international one. The international 1600 has a sort of transparent glass looking design on the keypad, while on the 1600b it's all opaque. Don't know why they did that.

4:59 still have my Siemens M55, and it still powers on. There are red lights on either side of the phone and they blinked in a, almost police lights flashing pattern when you got a message. Remember that they were pretty bright and you could see them through your jeans.

The Nokia 1600 was my mom's first colour screen phone. I have fond memories of playing the games. It had Soccer, Snake Xenzia (The good one imo) and Rapid Roll. Soccer had a league you could play in. I think it was 20 matches to the Final Cup. Things have come full circle as I'm a game dev now and I am remaking Rapid Roll (DX) for Android, Linux, Windows and Web. Coming soon :D

Out of all of these phones, the only one I had was the Samsung Reclaim. I hated that phone for texting. The buttons are too small for my fingers. It used to overheat if you were on a call for an extended amount of time.

You can try reviving those cellphones by charging manually their batteries. Grab a good (no matter if its a 18650 or from another phone) 3.7 volt battery and make a parallel conection with the bad one. The good one with charge the bad one, but do not let them plug for more than 5 seconds, let it cool down for 3 to 2 seconds and repeat.

Palm Pre was an innovative phone. It was fhe first smart phone to use "cards" to multitask and keep apps open in the bg. The OS was definitely ahead of its tome and we use a lot of elements of it in today's smartphones

I broke my first smartphone and then immediately lost my next one so my dad (I was in high school) got me one of those babies used and I had it for about a year. I remember just leaving it at home most of the time because i would use my school ipad for snapchat and whatnot. I do miss the full qwerty keyboard sometimes though. But god that thing is ugly

I used to sell Tmobile and AT&T wireless in the early 2000s and remember a lot of these phones. I used the Siemens m55 in the Grey and orange color scheme for awhile. It was a great phone at the time.
