Those nuts are supposed to be offset from center (or crooked and bent looking) it they are made that way so you can turn them in ways to make them either tighter onto the gantry or looser. There are ones like that on every axis so you can make adjustments. 👍🏻

@@psychorotica4770 interesting. I'll check on them again to see how they're doing. Thanks!

concentric nuts they are used to tighten those wheels to the rails. You turn those nuts while it is assembled and it tightens the wheels to the rails.

Weird looking things. Haha I messed with them after I put back. Made it solid. 💪🏼
@LMG3D3DPrintingEnthusiast9 ай бұрын
@@NimbusDesu Yes they are offset for that very reason, turning them draws the wheel closer to the rail. They are used to tighten up any rail assembly on your printer. I do not own this printer but Any modern 3d printer with those polley wheels should have at least one or a set of wheels with concentric nuts. Your Z axis and X axis if they have the same type of wheel should also have concentric nuts to allow you to snug everything up easily.

I have a neptune 3 max and it works amazingly. Too bad the fedex guy drop kicked it to your door. That hotend assembly is simply f'd. I'd definitely call for a whole replacement.

@@NimbusDesu I can't blame you, I would feel the same way. They are amazing for things like cosplay but their size is also insane. If I got mine and it was broke I probably would have gotten rid of it because its size is just too much on top of it being broken.
@NimbusDesu9 ай бұрын
@@WhatsTheWordBozo Yeah, but I want the size only for cosplay. So I gotta look into other big printers. We'll see. Maybe not for a while.

Aww c'mon man, that hotend was 100% repairable, the casing just needed to be plastic soldered from the inside with a soldering iron and the heatbreak just needed to be bent back into shape, maybe replaced, it is antithetical to the 3d printing spirit to just buy a complete replacement assembly unless it's for upgrades.
