really suprised you don't need a special license for truck that big, in finland and i think the rest of europe you drive a normal car with B license and anything over 3500kg needs a different license. C1 for under 7500kg and C for over that. also need an E license if you want to tow a trailer thats more than 750kg with a C or C1 vehicle

@@DeliriumTremensTWU 16 for a1 license: 125cc under 11kw the earliest you can get a license for a hayabusa here is 20 year old and for that you need to have had a license for under 35kw bikes for 2 years, otherwise you need to be 24. A normal car license age is 18 or 17 with special permit.

@@eikuz Up here in Canada 16 for car truck or bike license. Start with learner's for year or 2 then full Class 5 (6 for bike) by 18. I personally don't agree with most of it. There should be more training, these retirees can go buy these HUGE motorhomes and as long as they're not air they can drive em with a class 5. Ever seen an 85 year old man who had only drove a Toyota Camry for the last 40+ years get in a 40 foot land yacht with 12 feet of tail swinging past the rear axle???? Funny as fuck as long as it ain't your car getting punted into the next lane. LOL

Air brakes and an air assisted parking brake are different things when it comes to license qualifications... in canada anyway, sure it is in the states too. Air brakes are typically on a triple axles truck, or the odd 5 ton chassis truck aswell, not common though and needs an endorsement to drive. A air assited park brake is just that... a knob to push an pull when parked. Pretty simple

As a fellow hobby machinist, welder and blacksmith i can tell you he absolutely won't be able to make vital engine rotating assembly parts with just this, it might be fine for regular non moving parts, pulleys and other stuff but he won't be making in house billet conrods and pistons anytime soon. He was much better off investing some money into a cnc conversion for a manual mill. Plus its not really just upload the G code and you are good, i've probably destroyed $5k+ of various indicators, probes and other equipment in crashes. If i was a him, i'd take a cnc machining course and probably pay someone for 1:1 lessons, it will come out cheaper in the long run.

Posted this on "The negetivity" video. Came back to post it here. Its a repost. I'm not usually the encouraging, happy go-lucky, guy in the comments. But I want to explain my own experience with people that have money, and people that build cars. My most recent car purchase was a blown up rx8, nothing new there right? Wrong. This younger guy bought a Mazda remand engine, had someone else put it in, purchased a rare top mount turbo kit, had someone put it in, bought all the supporting mods, had someone put ALL of it in for him. After five thousand miles the engine completely grenaded, all 3 front apex seals were gone. Five. Thousand. Miles. So what did he do?he sold the car. He spent $10,000 on parts alone, not including labor. And sold it to me for $1,500. Next to nothing. He called it quits. Thats the difference between having money, and truly building a car. I dont have a lot of money these days. But I'm slowly building this car back up, reversing the many horrible decisions that ensured his engine would die. And bringing her back to life again. (PS, don't let just anyone build your car, this car died exclusively because many horrible decisions by the builder.) Rob is the kind of guy that starts over, rebuilds after it blows, and carries on. Now its time for me to go back to being sarcastic and non-encouraging. Stay frosty

When i heard the beepbeepbeepbeep on the forklift, my mind just went "parking brake parking brake parking brake" lol I used to operate those toyotas quite a bit. Was getting a bit nervous as you backed off the truck. You had the mast tilted forward quite a bit. Once that load starts to slide off, there is no stopping it. Once you pick something up, ALWAYS tilt the mast backwards (towards you). If you have to come to a sudden stop, or even take a turn a bit too sharp, things can come flying off of the forks.

@JashanTaggar

Ben T. Basically the air reservoir is connected to a diaphragm via a bunch of lines and valves etc... when u press the brake pedal, a valve sends a specified amount of air pressure to the diaphragm which actuates a cam with big force through leverage action... this rotates the “S-cam” which pushes the brake lining against the brake drum... its important to know how much much air pressure is in the tanks especially when u need to apply a 100% brake stop in an emergency. Because in that case, the pressure in the reservoir is the max pressure the brakes can apply. If your tank is low and you dont know why its important, you will have a bad time stopping when you really need to.
@JashanTaggar
@JashanTaggar 4 жыл бұрын
Ben T. Strong springs are used to apply the parking brake. You dont want air pressure to park a vehicle, its better to rely on a mechanical, 100% safe system to hold a vehicle.
@JashanTaggar
@JashanTaggar 4 жыл бұрын
Ben T. Yeah so if the air pressure drops below 45 - 20 psi, the spring brakes (parking brakes) activate automatically. The parking brakes are held off by a minimum of 60psi air pressure, so when the air pressure gets low, the force exerted on the spring by the air is too low to keep the spring (parking brake) compressed. Its a great design

Also, don't hold on to the binder handle as you release it. It is funny watching noobs trying to figure out rigging. Also the fact that they put it in the building facing the wrong direction instead of putting it down in the parking lot to pick it up from the other side. They are just making work for themselves. I expect more comedy when they are placing it for real. Then there is waiting for that first CNC crash...

I've never been to the US, but one special thing you guys have over there is the "do it yourself" philosophy. When you want something, you just build it! In most countries you'd have to hire someone else to haul your CNC machine or more probably hire a professional to design and manufacture the part in their CNC machine, but the fact you did it yourself (and then you'll use the machine to create parts that we know will be of excellent quality) is just mind blowing!!!

You have all the weight on that rear axel, you should have moved the load much further forward so as to better spread and balanced the load evenly between the trucks axels. Plus when you go over bump your all that force is going straight into that load as the shocks spring back as appose to had it been farther forward it would be more of a gentle pivot rather than a violent shunt.

I was a forklift trainer for new hires where is used to work for 10 years and I can say you did well. So it looks like you might need to use a lift like this again in the future here a few tips. The 3rd pedal is a clutch/brake pedal so you can keep revs up for moving the hydraulics faster while not having the have 3 feet to move pedals. You would be surprised at how much more control you can have with the revs up keeping hydraulic pressure up. This makes the controls respond to less movement(shorter throw) giving you a much more control for smooth movement. Also its best to park the truck centered in the valley if there is one so your front tires on the lift are not in it. It's best to just avoid it all together if you can.

That's good that you have an oil skimmer. I don't know if you're going to use coolant or not. If you are, coolant concentration is really important. To thin and you'll get bacteria growing in it. Ya gotta be a smooth operator on the forks Rob!! Smooth. Not so yanky yanky. Always remember when lifting precious cargo like that to go in as level as possible with the forks or slightly tipped forward. Then, instead of lifting straight up, you'll slowly tip the forks backwards so it'll shift the cargos weight to the mast. And use the clutch! The clutch disengages and then as you press farther the brakes are activated and you can get even better control of the hydraulic system using the gas while you're smoothly pulling levers. Congrats on the CNC guys!! Shit is gonna get nutz now!! Vroom Vroom bitches!! 🤟🏼🤟🏼🇺🇸🇺🇸🤟🏼🤟🏼
