Took a music class as an elective for education students who would be teaching in elementary school. They were just learning basic ideas on the piano, recorder (which was a pain), and guitar or ukulele. Full disclosure, I was 21 and the class was all girls except me. We had classical guitars with nylon strings which were new to me and so easy to finger pick, loved them even though they were cheap. Had to learn to tune the guitar by using a pitch pipe or the piano, always made sure I was slightly out of tune...especially the B string. Got to class early one day...at least 45 minutes, got a guitar, tuned it. Was finger picking Hotel California playing one verse and chorus, was getting ready for something else when I heard light applause...from the instructor! She was smart enough to figure what my motives were and did call out my scam to the class as a joke. Best joke ever! No telling how many "lessons" I gave that semester. She knew she was no match for me on the guitar so that was an easy grade, but she busted my balls with the piano. Actually learned a lot from her...the recorder has no story, it sucked.
