The thing about a camera like the Fuji X-E4 is that once you’ve set it up, you shouldn’t have to dive into menus too often. The simplicity of the exposure triangle with aperture ring on the lens and dial for the shutter speed and either put the ISO on the front wheel, or leave it in auto. Enjoy the simplicity of not worrying about Anything, but the basics and creating art through your vision

I've had some more time to play with it and you're right. I'm finding that once I've gotten a few settings to my liking I'm never having to go back and touch them again. Learning recipes now and it's so facinating. The level of customization is insane.

Hey, I am a Fuji shooter. I work events and use the X-T5 & X-E4. The X-E4 is a godsend for capturing 'moments' as people certainly act differently compared to when you're shooting with a more DSLR-like camera. I don't know why, but you're not alone in noticing the difference in reaction. Fujifilm JPEGs are great and take out most of the editing work. I shoot JPEG + RAW a lot of the time just in case the JPEG isny flexible enough in editing.
@pancakelens759 ай бұрын

Hi Noi, thank you for the video. I had a 100 V which was fun but not flexible enough so I changed it for the E4 with a wider lens It is a simpler camera and by the way seems to shorter shutter dwell which is better for my street photography. Next stop Tokyo I think it will do well there. Before I was shooting Olympus PenF with a12mm which has been awesome but the Fuji jpegs are such a time saver practically removing the need for raw editing.
@noisackda256410 ай бұрын
Nice! I still want an X100V :P, but the E4 is great. Like you said the versatility of it is a huge deal. Being able to change lenses and such I'm surprised it's not more popular than the 100V. It's going to be a dream in Tokyo! I'm actually jelouse because I wish I had this camera when I went there. Take a lot of photos and maybe even use it as a business opportunity. Never boring, but probably not a great place to live if you want solitude lol. Thanks for the kind words :) are you going to do a FPV video? I think you should! You have the perfect setup for it and like I said before. I love watching them :p it presents a very raw perspective of an area in the world we may not be able to visit. I would love to go to a place like Thailand and do some. Right now I’m in Hawaii so I plan on doing one here. To my point about photography vs vlogging I think what you said is right. People accept photography as art since it’s an older discipline as well. A lot of beautiful moments in history has been documented with photography and I think people can appreciate that. Nothing good has ever come from vlogging in peoples eyes. They associate it with crappy people going to Japan and making fun of locals haha. So sad. Anyway, thanks for the thoughts.
