I've been using Pat's for several years on all my tractors and I love it. It has always worked with any implement, regardless of if it was quick hitch compatible or not. But there is a huge difference in Pat's and a similar thing you can get at Tractor Supply. You definitely want Pat's.
@tonybarthelmess8084Ай бұрын
I agree 💯 I've bought the ones from tractor supply and then the Pat's. The Pat's are definitely a much better quality part. Love mine and I've been using them for years.

Dealt with Courtney a number of times, great guy. Guess you didn't mention being a vet, he takes extra care of those who have served.
@rodgerneeb301Ай бұрын
The thing I've noticed and like about Courtney and Good Works is that he takes the implements that everyone starts with, finds the issues that bug people about them, and re-engineer them to be a better tool. And appreciate your keeping business with small businesses and loyal to friends. Total Win Win situation. I like what he did with his stump buckets and pallet forks, had I not had both before finding out about him, his would have been in the running.

I use a quick hitch, love it and it stays on the tractor. Bought the quick hitch with the tractor at dealership, it is Modern Ag along with all my implements.

Great video! I can’t wait to share it with my BFF but right now he’s in the woods trying to hunt Bambi.

Thanks for doing this. And I look forward to the comparison of Pat's vs. the Good Works quick hitches. I will probably be buying one of them in the future.

Have not used the Pat's, but love my Land Pride QH16 quick hitch. It cost more than most, but can get replacement parts easy just in case you need them.

Mine came in a few weeks ago and so far I really like it. Like yours, my shipping was quick.

I was just recommending that hitch earlier today. Courtney at GWT comes up with some great products with his partner companies.

I saw Courtney's video on this the day it was posted and have been thinking about getting one. I'm glad you decided to give it a try out. I would also be interested in seeing the Pat's system compared to this side by side. 🚜
@hhamilton1970Ай бұрын
Yeah I need to get one to compare them.

Hank, I watch Courtney’s channel and I’m thinking of purchasing the versa forks. After seeing the quick hitch it looks very well made and I’m considering purchasing one of them as well. Thanks for showing us the quick hitch.

Im thinking about getting a set of forks too. Lol

Pat’s quick hitch the only way to go, it will hook to any 3 point hitch from 2 days old to 50 years old any brand and cheaper too

Have a nice day.
@jasoncox3402Ай бұрын
Yes, please do that comparison. I’m very interested.

Howboutcha! One really cool thing about that new GWT Fast Cat 1 quick hitch is that the color matches the wheels on your T574. That should make it possible to hook up implements and get to work at least twice as fast as before.
@hhamilton1970Ай бұрын
I would definitely think so!
@RumblestripАй бұрын
Maybe im weird, ive found it easier to set my quick hitch on my lower arms and hook the top link first. Mine comes on and off, sadly, fairly often, as i use my backhoe quite a bit and it wont fit with my backhoe on

I can't compare Pat's Easy Change to the Quick Hitch since I've never used the QH, but I'm very satisfied with the Pat's system. Same caveat regarding PTO shaft length, since Pat's system also extends the lift arm effective length out almost 4". Very good customer support, too, from what I've read, although thankfully I haven't needed it.

Where did you get your hydraulic side link at. And do you have a part # for it? I have RK55 that I want to put it on.

My opinion is Pat's has a advantage for some over a regular quick hitch. I personally don't own all quick hitch compatible attachments, so Pat's works better for me. I'm not going to go out and buy all new equipment to get quick hitch compatible. That would be a lot on money that I personally don't need to spend. I only replace equipment when it gets to the point of not repairable or not feasible to repair.
@prestonsousa5978Ай бұрын
I got mine a while ago, can't do anything without it

But alas my tractor has developed issues. The governor an fuel shut off has been replaced. Sales rep said to change fuel timing unit.

Personally I like Pat’s easy change. While I own a set of Pat’s, I have never own a quick hitch. A buddy had a quick hitch that he was not using and I borrowed it. I do not remember the brand of his quick hitch. Personally I found the QH to be a pain-1st off none of my implements are QH compatible, so for every implement change, the QH had to be adjusted-a pain. Also if doing a PTO implement you must get off regardless.

Question. Why don't USA tractors come with hook lower link arms as standard as UK tractors do since the middle eighties. So we don't need to put that type of hitch on tractors. Seems strange. I see you have telescopic lower links, very rare to see those nowadays. Were fitted on some tractors in seventies. Different countries seem to have different ways. Who's right or wrong, I don't know.
@hhamilton1970Ай бұрын
Yeah a redesign would be cool to see
@billypirtle1443Ай бұрын
To much play between your pine and latch. That's one the two main pins. Mine I modified by making the two main latches closer to the main pins mine came unhooked pulling a mow board plow 5 16 inch.

U need check valve in side link lines it won't leak down mine leaks down too I need to put one in mine like the top link has a pilot check
@hhamilton1970Ай бұрын
Yeah, but you would expect $750 custom made hydraulic cylinder to not do that. But yes, a check valve would fix that
