It’s a good little bike. PS Honda sells a few full size bikes with their dct fully automatic transmission. NC700/750 New rebel 1100 Africa Twin Gold wing All have fully auto transmissions. There’s also plenty of scooters if you don’t mind riding a scooter.

I own a NC700X and my coworker owns a NC700XD, which has the dual clutch transmission that is automatic, he got it back in 2012 because he lost a leg entirely and it's just convenience and ease of being able to ride through the impact of such a disability.

If this rider is being honest!?….he’ll just admit that he had experienced “Buyer’s Remorse” which is pretty common to a lot of people (Buyer’s Remorse = Someone Regrets buying something because of the loss of money they spent to get something) I never had this buyer’s remorse thing for I’m always planning & studying everything before I buy it if it’s really needed or not, if it’s beneficial for me or wasteful. A machine that gets you 110 MPG @ 50 MPH for $1,807!?…..this bike is too good for this price tbh!

I city commute (no freeways) on a 250cc Honda Scooter which will do 70 mph. I don’t ever need to go above 50 mph on my commute, so the Navi would be Ok, but I worry about it’s ability to accelerate away from traffic at a stop light. This is where I am super happy with my 250cc’s power. I also own a 650cc Suzuki motorcycle, which I love, but I hate it for city commuting because of all the shifting that is required. Also most scooters have great storage which I need for commuting to work.

Although the little Navi is inexpensive and will probably bring new riders in to motorcycling, as someone who has been riding for over 50 years, I would always be drawn to a bike with a clutch and 5 or 6 speed tranny. I doubt the Navi will bring in very many new riders. Most first time riders will probably change their mind when they find out what the price REALLY is, and those that choose to pay it anyway are not going to forget how they were ripped off by Honda. In my state, buying used is the only way to go. There is no sales tax on used vehicles, so whatever you pay for it is ALL you pay for it. No taxes, no hundred/thousands of $$$ in bogus fees. Honda COULD have used the Navi to bring a lot of first time buyers back for bigger more expensive bikes, but they chose to rip off the customer for all they could get to begin with. It's obvious they don't care about returning customers and referrals.

How does this compare to the genuine rough house 50?
@nemanjatosovic
@nemanjatosovic 2 жыл бұрын
I think the roughhouse is built better, it feels a bit more premium. Obviously the roughhouse is a scooter where as the Navi is a hybrid. Seating position is different so generally the Navi is a bit more fun to ride because of the seating position but the roughhouse I think feels a bit nicer and being a two stroke sounds much cooler. The Navi is a bit faster, it has double the capacity, but not by much, maybe 7-8 mph however sometimes that makes a lot of difference. The roughhouse is more practical as you get under seat storage and a flat foot board. If I lived in a small beach town where the speed limit never exceeds 35 I’d get the RH, if I needed a bit more too end I’d get the navi.
@kevinswann1251

I have a 2022 Roughhouse 50. Was derestricted at dealership. Then added a Malossi 70cc bore kit, 19mm Malossi carb and Malossi exhaust. I've put 1,000 miles on it and I've had zero problems... If you have these mods done, you will need to add extra oil in the gas. Usually a couple ounces per fill up. It has an automated oil dispenser but it's set up for a stock 50cc. I do love this scooter! Excellent build quality!
@pleasedontwatchthese9593

I have owned both. The navi is much better and built much better. The service intervals are lower in the navi and it's 4 stoke unlike the buddy that's 2 stroke. @nemanjatosovic
@nemanjatosovic 2 жыл бұрын
A lot of the price differences you see are due to taxes and registration fees varying state by state, on top of that some dealers just add on BS fees. Where are you located, ask the dealer to break down the otd price. If they’re charging you 700 for set up, skip them. In Illinois, a fair price is between 2500-2800 depending where you’re located. At 2500 your basically paying no fees other than freight and at 2800 you’re paying a fee hundred for set up.

First of all, I don't consider Honda a reputable company. At least not any more. Their products are made in Thailand, China, and in the case of the Navi, it is made in India and assembled in Mexico. Honda's bikes are no longer made in Japan. Then there are the dealers. Or should I say STEALERS. When a stealer is charging $1000-$2000 over msrp, that is basically theft. I almost bought a Navi, until I discovered what the stealers were selling them for. I could get a used but like new Grom or Super Cub for that. And 50 mph will not do it in most cities. I live in Phoeniz, AZ, and while the speed limit on most city streets is 45 mph, idiots go 55-60 mph on those streets. And if you don't have decent acceleration, you are likely to get run over from behind when leaving a stop light.

@@dabradguy I commute on a 250. Don't get me wrong, my little 250 absolutely keeps up in morning commutes. It's quick, but that traffic never goes over 50 mph. Nevertheless, there are some hilly boulevards around here, and anything less would never keep up. A 200, maybe, but doubtful. Smaller, never. Your Ruckus wouldn't either, no matter how spunky it seems to you. Don't kid yourself.

A lot of people will buy it because it's a Honda, and a lot of people give up because it's just a Honda.

The Navi is Hondas step backwards. It's absolutely terrible and is way overpriced for what it is. 110cc, my wife's icebear is a 150 and was 1100 shipped to our door even came deleted too. Front drum brake should tell you to stay far away from this bike.

Bizarre how commuting requirements determines the best ride/vehicle. I have one NC750x DCT, a Tmax 530 and just bought 2 Navi's. Love them and they fit well on my RV 2" front and back hitches while towing a Smart for two car. My 2 other bikes were too heavy. Honda has delivered in spade over the years & continues. Products for the masses. My 2¢. Happy trails all!!!

Foostini the metro is fuel injected though so not a fair comparison at all as fuel injection is far better than what the Navi has
