The S2000 is a ton of fun! Personally I'd use it as a daily-able road car. After all you've already done the race car. Make it fun to drive, that's what it does best.

Replace the diff mounts with Megan Racing ones; they are good for the S2000 also those blue things are for lowered cars they help the diff and axle spacing so it's correct

The axle spacers help when lowered. If you take them out you’ll notice a slight “shake” with them out. Overall it makes a big difference with them. Much needed IMO.

The hard race axles spacers are for proper axle length for lowered cars. And I believe the ball joints are hard race. Really good upgrades and great car to start building.

I loooovveeee my Falken Azenis RT615K+ on my boosted SC300! 200tw tire with a super soft grippy compound. I make 416whp/448wtq and it'll break free in 1st but 2nd and beyond it dead hooks. They are quiet and smooth/comfy tires with amazing grip paired with being some of the cheapest 200tw tires on the market. I bought a pair 235/40/18 and a pair of 265/35/18 and it was $700 shipped to my door. Can't beat that for the performance they provide. I did look them up and it looks like they don't make them in a 245/40/17 unfortunately though....

I bought mine last year with 2 extra set of rims/tires for 17K. It has 80K miles and clean title. Body and paint is in great condition minus some minor rock chips. The guy recently installed tons of parts for grid life including ohlin coilovers, roll cage, racing seat, struts braces, quick release. It also has the nvidia exhaust. Not as great of a deal as yours, but still a great deal I think.

Get the R888 if you plan on making some good power haha or the nitto nt555 g2 are good and much cheaper but they are more of a daily driver tire with decent grip

4 years ago I was moving and my old bumper flew off the trailer. I have no idea where. Tried ordering during and after the pandemic and couldn’t get one. Still bumperless. It’s kinda embarrassing.

I remember those cars having snap oversteer. I had a friend that lost his lower leg to an s2000 Almost 20 years ago. Basically it was an autox school, and a student snap oversteered then he over corrected into the crowd. And my friend had his back facing the skid pad and didn’t see the s2000 barreling in time. Took everything below the knee right off. Until it was just dangling by the skin. He claims not remember anything, and that he blacked out the whole thing. And thinks he wasn’t in any pain when it happened. As he went into shock. But he is wrong. He was very very much in pain at the time. And very well aware he had lost his leg when it happened. Just the brain was kind and rightfully deleted that memory from him.

that sucks real bad. I recently saw a video of some guy in his S2000 trying to pass another car, they lost control, and ended up getting sandwiched like tin foil between the car he hit and a parked car. Unfortunately, that person didn't make it. These cars are not built with safety in mind. I have one and always stay super vigilant while driving.

When it comes to high mileage cars. It gets new everything every 150k miles. 😅. 350k mile prelude. I thing second gear is starting to grind every hundredth shift. And It really REALLY needs new rings in cyl 3. It’s been needing new rings on cyl 3 since at least last 75k miles tho. As for tires I’d split the difference between the triple 8s and kumhos. And go continental extremecontact sport 2s.

@@Widebody999 it did but it was trashed and I gutted it completely out but I had a mint 02 S2K that got totaled but I used all the parts for it especially the low mileage engine Only 30 k miles when crashed so all the parts were in great condition it was my previous car I was trying to restore the second one and keep the nicer one all Oem but it got t boned
