My guess is, it was easier to get a JZ car than have to deal with an SR or CA, or having to swap a JZ or LS in it, but the chassis will push him into learning how to steer a boat on land, so it'll be nice content

Very excited to see this progression and build! I know we watched a similar video with the 86 drift car, I feel like I missed a video where you sold it. I’d be interested in hearing the story of the Levin and the comparison between the two when learning to drift. I know the chaser is the preferred drift platform of the two. mann great video as always!!! i recommend trying to compensate the speed while initializing, at the entry of a drift. just be more gentle with the throtle, the slower u go the more angle u get!! and i know that u feel it when the revs r at 6k that it just wont go sideways. keep practicing dut, much love

The 1st thing he needs to do is install some angle kit=lock kit and a good set of suspension.

With drifting you hardly need a car with tons of power if you are a beginner, what is really important is the angle, and suspension upgrade. And also a good bucket seat steering wheel, hydro, dual rear brakes.

I would at least put a angle kit on it so it is more drift able! I understand learning with it stock but it does need angle and a handbrake so you can correct the car if you spin or start to spin! I only say that because you’ve gotta think that is a Dream Car for so many of us, that we will probably never be able to get! Especially as nice as that one was!!! #alwaysmakeittotheend

An S body would of been 100% better to learn to drift, you need to get a uprated diff and alignment is what you really need to sort it will stop it being snappy

you should get front and rear bash bars now, so you can practice and not have to worry about destroying a radiator and definitely get a aluminum radiator ,oil cooler and baffled oil pan so you can hot lap the car and not have to worry

@@dusterpl6093 @noelthan594 if he went for a beater he'd have to build it before driving it, deal with engine swaps and chassis stuff, which would probably just make him forget the idea and do something else. I'd probably remove the headlights, taillights and some other exterior parts and keep them stored for a while, so when I'd feel comfortable with the car I could put a body kit on and paint or wrap, and not have to pray that they are available to buy and don't cost a kidney.

You have the best car to start to learn to drift. Talk to the jzx king for suspension mods to learn more. Adam lz has the recipe to dial in your suspension and he will teach you everything you need to learn about the car.

I can't wait for the rest of this series!! I've been watching all of the east coast CarTubers (Jimmy Oakes, Grant Anderson, Adam LZ, Collete Davis, Chelsea DeNofa, and probably more that I can't think of right now, as well as a couple west coast bois, shout out Randy @ Illiminate) going to Japan and ripping all of their Chasers at Ebisu for matsuri, and now you get a Chaser for a US drift car! This is gonna be so good. When you go back to Japan the next time, you should see if you can get an Ebisu car and go rip their "School Course" (aka skid pad) and eventually North Course! Or just borrow somebody's car, lol.

Don’t know how I missed this but this is cool man! I myself drive a jzx90 and really enjoy the car. Would definitely recommend doing a front mount, koyorad, rear subframe and diff bushing, as well as new front ball joints to freshen it up a bit at minimum super good and fun car that’ll teach you a lot!

Speak to Sammit he will tell you exactly what parts you need to get and where to get them from. That crash was caused from snap back from not committing. First thing is a seat and some yashio factory harnesses, steering wheel, Then get bushes, angle kit and suspension sorted and that will put you on a good starting point bro
