i have the same exact one and i found out that if you put on the airplane mode while you're using it, the battery last SO MUCH longer! i bought it in august and even if i don't read every day, i charged it max 4-5 times ever since!

If you check out library books, airplane mode on allows you to keep it after due date. Just dont take it off, or you lose the book

Mine's old so it might not work now, but if you leave it on airplane mode long enough, it quits showing ads. It'll come back when you put it back on internet though.

Thank you so much for this. I've been contemplating for months whether to buy kindle or not because I read fanfics on a daily basis, and reading on my ipad seems too uncomfortable because it's big and heavy, but reading on my phone is somewhat too small (and the glare is exhausting my eyes). I watched this and I immediately purchased one right after.

I listen to audible during the day at work then read at night on my phone. I’ve noticed my eyes hurt after reading on my phone so I’m highly considering a kindle in hopes of better reading comfort!

also in some of your pictures of you reading on trains (me too!!) your font is pretty small, i find that if you use a bigger font you may have to turn pages more frequently but it also lets you read so much faster since your eyes glide across the page, its harder to focus with more text

i did the same! its one of the best investments in my life. i love it for fanfic, taking the time to pick fanart as a cover and also some books here and there. kindles for ff are a form of self care

I'm facing an issue with my newly bought kindle. The issue is that the epubs which I've sent to my kindle are having very low visibility for "show covers on lock screen" when screen is locked. Same is not happening for the books which I've downloaded from KU. Can someone please help me with the same?

I'm kinda jealous that there's a physical store that sells kindle and that there's demo kindles as well.... from where I'm from and from my own experience we only get to buy it online with a huge risk of it being broken, never arriving despite a notice that it has been received, and receiving the item and finding out that there are LOADS of dead pixels no, scratch that the whole screen is just dead

I bought kindle basic 2022 last year in denim and I FELL IN LOVE! Love it so much and really made me read a lot. and I also downloaded lots of fanfics as well-- definitely changed my fanfic reading game

Ok, I got the fanfic downloaded. But you lost me on how to get a photo on it. I couldn’t get the Canva app to let me add text to the cover photo, and couldn’t figure out how to attach it to the file before sending to kindle. I feel like you went really fast over that part and skipped some steps. Can you please give a more detailed explanation?

is a flip cover better than a regular cover for a Kindle?

it honestly depends on your preference! if ur someone who carries it around everywhere then maybe having a screen cover is better to avoid scratches! but i find that just having a regular case works fine for me! and sometimes having the flip cover can be kind of fiddly when reading
