I have a Oryx White 2017 Golf R manual that came with the same wheels 8 years ago. The pretoria's are VWs best wheel ever!!! congrats. I had to order the power folding mirrors and LED tails w/ Amber signals from Germany though and add those myself, cool to see them standard now, although I do prefer mine being a slicktop. You're gonna love it. I have put about 90k miles on mine, its been APR stage 2 the whole time and never had any issues with it.

Two things: 1. You can turn outside headlights on full time by pressing a button to the left of the steering wheel. 2. The DSG trans with launch control is way better than the 6 speed. Mine has gone 11.76 @ 117 with just a tune and intercooler on 91 octane. They go low 11s @ 122+ on e85 .

Thanks for the tips man! I actually just found that button last night 🤣. The dsg is very very good. But id only want this in a manual. If i want to run 11s i got a bone stock zl1 with full warranty and rwd. But it is awesome a golf can move like that!

ea888 handle tunes well. My 22 mk8r is still on stock clutch with no issues nearing 30k miles. that being said, the appeal for golfs for me is how understated they are plus the hatchback functionality

Dude, enjoy the new R. I've been on an APR 93 Octane Full torque tune for 8K miles with no stock clutch slippage. It's dumb. I'm going stage 3 this spring.

If only the 2024 RS3 came with a manual option. I will say that the DCT in the car is incredibly aggressive, to where downshifting jerks you around even more than when doing it with a stick shift. Also, the golf R key is light years nicer than the RS3. Other than that there's no comparison. Definitely worth the extra 10 - 15K for the RS
