Congratulations on your purchase. The only thing about it that is "Dewalt" is the name painted on it. It is designed and built by "Mat Industries". Dewalt is no longer a stand alone company. They have been purchase by Stanley, Black and Decker along with many of the tools that we had learned to respect such Craftsman, Mac Tools, Bostitch, Irwin, Proto, Porter-Cable, and others you aren't familiar with; Usag, Facom, and Sidchrome. I purchase the previous model of this Dewalt. I am glad to see they changed the type of compressor that it has. I think the new one with reed valves is a little more efficient. Having said that, I see no difference in yours and mine, so the whole list of complaints I have about mine are still pertinent to yours. The SCFM of the compressor is just enough to run your die grinder, I'm sure as time goes on you will find that is about all the air tool it will handle. Sorry to be so down on this, but like you, I bought mine by the brand name

Regardless of who made it, it seems high quality and I’m pleased with it for sure. The die grinder does good on it especially if I limit it around 80. It’ll last for several minutes, and even longer if I have to stop to look at what I’m grinding. It’s definitely on the side of not being enough, but it definitely does the job a whole lot better than that 10 gallon I have.

How is that air compressor making out after 7 months?

I haven’t used it very often, but so far, so good! I’ve used it to power my die grinder lots of times, and it really does a pretty good job with it.

Did you follow the break it in procedure? 30 minutes of continuous running with the bottom drain valve wide open.
@RcFlashlight6 ай бұрын
@@jameshill4900 Didn’t do that, but probably didn’t matter because it probably ran more than 30 minutes straight while I was using a die grinder.

@@RcFlashlight It probably won't make a huge difference but the idea is run it 30 minutes with zero pressure to allow the piston rings to seat. Enjoy your upgrade compressor 👍👍

Just bought one last night. Did the break in. Shut the valve turned it on and at about 50psi the large pump wheel fell off due to the bolt not being torqued. Had to reset pulley and belt. Ran into several issues where it would start and stop like ot was in a bind. Squared the motor as best as I could. It ran two full cycles after and it seems okay, but not a good start.

@@marcustodd5315 Ouch. Unfortunate is an understatement. Hopefully no more surprises.
