Greetings JB! I know that it 'sounds' silly, but I was taught at a young age how to pour oil form a bottle. Try holding the bottle so as the neck extends on top, over the body of the bottle, rather than the bottom, as you had it. The bottle is designed at that angle so as to facilitate the flow of the pouring liquid. You will not spill nearly as easily. Yes, I still spill a little once in a while, but that's what she said! LOL!

Not my experience: I bought the same generator unaware that there was a known issue, and the issue with it requires the service center to get the parts, and its been 2 months, with no solution. It's not the choke issue, and it has not worked right out of the box. It was been a complete waste of money.

I bought the exact same generator about a month ago on a killer sale off Amazon. I too was aware of the issue but figured if I had that problem I’d fix it myself. This generator is awesome so far and runs everything in my camper no problem. I did change out the oil at the 2 hour mark and it did have quite abit of metal flakes in it. I’ll do the next one at recommended 25 hours. This is the EXACT same Gen as the Cummins Onan, minus diff coloring. I think it’s a great buy and you will be happy with it.

I have the Onan and thought it and the Westinghouse were the same too but apparently they are not. There is a tutorial video on utube , the guy had both of them and his travel trailer there. The Onan would run his 15,000 btu a/c and the microwave at the same time but the Westinghouse would not. He figured it had a different inverter. Both gen's are Chinese and I'm told the engines are Ducar. My first one would not run. Cummins kept it 2 weeks it was the solenoid for the choke which they could not get so they gave me another new one. That was 3 years ago and it has over 400 hours on it , works fine. Use non ethanol gas which you can usually find at some stations.

I've had mine for over two years, it's used strictly for camping. It sits in the bed of my truck on trips. I can park my truck far enough away so that we can barely hear it. I have the remote, so it works great from inside the trailer. The rubber cover for the 110 outlet fell off, so far that's the negative. It's been on many trips.

What is the purpose of the lower right corner red reset button? What does it reset and what problem would it rectify?
@quintongreene36522 жыл бұрын
If you can find it, run ethanol free fuel. Small engines don’t run a lot and the ethanol will gunk up the fuel jet. Also with the generator, instead of turning it off, turn the fuel off and let the carburetor run out of fuel. It will last much longer and you will not have any problems. I do this to mine and have had it for 7 years with no problems.

I have the Duel Fuel version. My first one had the problem with the choke. I just simply exchanged it. I love the remote start. It is really quiet under a load. I love that it has a remote. If your dry docking, you can hit the remote and your AC will start to run if you leave the thermostat set. A very good way to save fuel and wear on the generator,

@@JB_WhoWork I asked the manufacturer if there is a longer gas hose. Unfortunately not. So the generator needs to be near your tanks, or you need to carry an extra tank. Sham on them for dropping the ball.

I looked into the Cummins branded version of this Genny. I ended up going with the Champion 4650. I didn't need remote start, mostly because you have to flip a switch to turn the battery on. Pull start is fine for me. I also liked the handle better. I absolutely love it!

@@JB_WhoWork I do - but I've cranked em both on directly into AC mode unintentionally and didn't overload the gen nor pop breaker. I was expecting it but nope. But going fan start is best. Your gen should run both on full AC. You'll be close to maxed but can still watch TV or something.

What BigJohnDiesel says is true about ethanol. Ethanol is a small engine killer. Here in Ontario Shell super grade gas is ethanol free so thats all I use on my Honda genny, NOT because of the octane but because of the lack of ethanol

Nice little review. I’ve been wanting an inverter generator for a long time but they are crazy expensive compared to a normal portable generator. I gave $1,000 a couple years ago for my Craftsman 8,000 running watts/11,500 starting watts generator and to get an inverter about like what you have would have been the same money. I use mine for the races and to power my house during power outages so it’s all good though. That’s the main reason I bought it and then I couldn’t justify spending that much more to get one specific for the races lol. But that’s awesome. They are exceptionally light and quiet compared to what I have. I have to give mine two uggas and a dugga to get it in and out of my building to load it in my truck for the races lol. It weighs about 280 pounds 😬. But anyways nice video. I look forward to seeing an update on this.

Haha, if I had 8000 running I could turn everything on in the RV at once but those are heavy! I paid under $800 for mine and just a week later the price was $275 higher on Amazon… glad I bought it when I did though. Plan to do some test with it in the near future 👍🏾👍🏾
