When my mom and I were living in low income housing after fled a toxic home, we didn't have anything. donations from the assistance programs helped. Yes I use grey sheets (most of my room is white, grey, black). White sheets stain easy, and black shows every hair and dust particle, so grey is the way to go if you need white-black. I do look at thread count, and buy the one with the most thread count for your buck that also feels soft. Also, once sleeping with bamboo sheets, I couldn’t go back, just make sure they’re ethically sourced!💖

A tip I learned from a hotel TikTok is that if you want to always put the fitted sheet on correctly every time facing the top of the bed from the foot of it, the tag will always be in the bottom left corner.

I have a grey “vintage washed linen” duvet cover on at the moment. I love that it’s neutral. I don’t get sick of it. I pair it with a chunky knit blanket in charcoal grey, charcoal grey European pillows and a knitted charcoal grey throw cushion or with the same in an off white. Love grey!!

The bedbugs don’t care about socioeconomic status. Lol It was a nightmare and truly sent me into a nervous breakdown. But we couldn’t prove that they were there when we moved in because we didn’t notice them for a couple of days, and even then I didn’t realize what it was at first. Also, the landlord was a slumlord. She would never repair anything, and she finally told us we had to leave because the air conditioner didn’t work and we wanted her to fix it. I live in Las Vegas. And air conditioner they won’t cool below 80° when it’s 115° out just doesn’t cut it. We ended up having to take her to court to get our deposit back because the house was spotless when we left. We won. She had to pay us our deposit and court costs. But overall we lost because the bedbugs probably cost us $8000 between trying things that didn’t work, having a heat treatment, having to pay to stay in a hotel while the heat treatment happened, items that were thrown out because of the bugs, etc. I would never wish them upon anyone!

@@becorations1 yea it's a nightmare. Ah we also almost didn't get our deposit back, he was just making excuses as of why he can't give us money back. Luckily we managed to get it, but yea he just called one day saying that we have to move out, the same day...dark times. But one thing I know for sure, I wouldn't wish bed bugs to even my worst enemy

@@becorations1 Omggg that’s crazy! I had a similar experience but our landlord took care of everything! Even our hotel costs. But we weren’t infested jsut a few bc it was an apartment. They treated the whole Building. The pest control guy told me he only found 2 bed bugs in our apartment and it only takes one to make someone’s live a living hell!

As a person who owns grey sheets, I like them because the ones I got are a kind of fog color. Rainy weather is my favorite and I like having colors that remind me of it. There's also a lot of blue in my room; they're both soothing colors.

In a way it is cute she was (and sometimes still is, seeing as she keeps calling her hoop skirt a circle skirt 🙄) so unapologetically ignorant about those things. Mia is very much Mia, one of the reasons she's one of the very few KZbinrs I still follow - though Mama Maples is a huuuge part of that.
