I Bought a Porsche Taycan Turbo S to Crush Mat Watson on Carwow!

Before I was offered my new Urus I actually bought this Porsche Taycan Turbo S from AMT. Knowing how fast they are I took the plunge and bought my first ever electric car. Yes, that's 2 new cars in 1 week!
Mark at Porsche gives me a full rundown on the spec for the handover as I had a lot to learn about electric cars. He even offers me a fake exhaust. :)
Hopefully I manage to hang on to her long enough to race Mat on Carwow!

@@florinnitisoara8313 Yes so AC, easy explained is a change of polarity. In (Germany at least) its a perfect sine wave at 50hz. The thing about AC is that the voltage is a lot higher but u have less load on the cables. At DC the Load is high but the voltage stays the same. So u need much larger cable and dc has a constant magnetic field

Re cruising on the motorway, I think with electric cars, you'll actually find it will draw MORE energy cruising at 70 all day than it does in city stop/start traffic, unlike ice cars. Don't think the sales guy got that one quite right. Nice car Yianni, I'd love to see it in the Mission E white, with the white (or silver I guess) wall wheels. Can't wait to see what you do with it. You'd be surprised. The thing is, stopping and starting will produce very little electricity from braking. Also accelerating will use up juice. On the contrary, cruising, i.e. feathering the throttle at 70mph, the battery will be giving power but self-charging at the same time.

@@MaheenF1Lover Cruise control ;) Like, my Toyota Auris Hybrid (140HP, 2014) at 60mph averages around 1 on 28km. That's ~65mpg. But if I were to give gas manually, the usage goes up! On cruise-control, the engine is mostly off too or it's idling at the lowest RPM possible (~650-800RPM) and then it goes off again. Only with uphill does the engine get used more, but I'm from The Netherlands. We only have little hills at most!
