Thanksgiving and video game adjacent memory: My mom was the general manager of Chuck E. Cheese. The store was always closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas. Mom would still need to go into the store and make the dough for the following day. It started with just our immediate family going in and knocking out a couple batches. Somewhere along the way, it turned into the destination for the holiday, family get-together. All my cousins, Grandparents, great grandparents, aunts, uncles enjoying Thanksgiving dinner in the showroom of the restaurant with unbridled access to all the games, soda, ball pit, tubes, kitchen, and costumes. Me, my brother and sister were there and had the run of it every week, but getting to do it with our cousins was always a blast and memories I cherish. This was 25-30 years ago now. I don’t think we’d be able to do it nowadays. Not sure we were supposed to then. 😂

I had an Etsy store doing backlit handhelds, audio mods, clicky buttons, lights etc. It was so much fun and supported me through college. I did everything from: DMG, GBC, GBA, GBAsp and hingeless SPs, PsPs, Vitas, Ds, and 3DS consoles. GBA was the highest seller though.

Always Seeing the Jaguar console brings me back to the early 90's. Playing Alien Vs Predator in the dark down in the basement. My behind would scoot the chair back everytime and alien would attack me as a Marine. Plenty of times the controller would be disconnected from me being super scared. Definitely wasn't not a "sumbody wake up hicks" moment.

Thanksgiving? I am Canadian, but when I visited a friend in the USA during their Thanksgiving, I remember being served a sweet potato dish with LOTS of marshmallow on top.
