I would check the fluid in the hydraulic system and make sure it's good and also check for leaks in any of the hoses before you go hitting the switches, also a important thing to note is you don't want to hold the switches up since you could blow a hose, Once the hydraulics are all the way up that is when you stop hitting the switch. Just some helpful tips for you, I got a 86 regal and love mine

The chains are so the suspension doesn't droop to much when it bounces off the ground, or the springs etc would come out of place when it goes up, and be some damage when it came down, not that the damage part matters here. Great content! Love it

The chains in front are on leaf springs for the lower control arms to spring back up quicker when hopping it’s to help with the coils to get a more accurate hop and the chains in back are just limiting chains and to help keep the rear end stable

Chains in the rear is to apply assistance for 3 wheel. Chains up front keep the suspension together when the ball joints break.

@@kdsboosted4954 that’s true but not on this car it’s setup strictly for hopping look how far his wheels are pushed back I doubt he sits it on 3 without those chains in the back holding tension on the coils the rear end will wanna bounce up off the ground when you hop

@Macias85nm coils don't pop out of the rear anymore. Most run coils on top of the cylinders with power balls which makes it physically impossible for the coils to come out without disassembly. Old school setups run the coils under the cylinders which popped out all the time. No one hops with the coil under setup. I still have my lowrider I built in the 90's so I understand everything about hydraulics very well. And yes they still 3 wheel with altered wheel base. I have a good friend that drives one. Mine is a street car with standard wheel base.

Like several others mentioned that's likely a Buick 3.8 V6. Had one in an El Camino as my first car. Good little engines that sound cool, similar power to a 4.3

The Buick would have the distributor in the front angled toward the driver side. That's a chevy V6

@williamsinger4124 Maybe the 3.8 is considered a Chevy V6 then, because the 229ci I'm thinking of has the distributor at the rear. Either way, it'd be a 3.8 most likely, the 4.3 was only put in G Bodies in California, not likely for a New York car.

@@Deathwish682 true, but a closer look at the engine shows center bolts on the valve covers, so that is a 4.3. The Buick V6 231, and the chevy 229 have the valve cover bolts around the perimeter. Plus, the 4.3 V6 wasn't out in 79. However, there was a 4.3 V8 at that time. I know, friggin gm, it can be confusing lol. I own an 80 regal that was powered by the Buick 3.8, and metric 200 transmission, but I swapped it out for a 69 Buick 350 (bolted right in since it was Buick powered) and a 200 4R overdrive trans from an 89 caddy that was olds 307 powered thus it had the correct Buick olds Pontiac bellhousing pattern. The cevy 4.3 was a very common swap for the lowrider crowd bc it is better than either of the 3.8s, and is lighter than a V8 engine. Sorry for being long winded, just sharing a bit of knowledge lol

I'm not going to lie. I find it hard to swallow when I see all these shows and channels buying up storage units. I only say this because back in 2010 I fell on super hard times. I lost all of my stuff because I couldn't pay their storage fees and the company had zero wiggle room. Lost my military records, personal pictures I'll never be able to replace, military gear I was given when I was discharged that same year and some other stuff. This was a great find, but with storage units being sold I can't help but think what that person is going through where someone's able to make a profit off of it. I love the channel, don't get me wrong. Just publicly voicing how I feel about it.

I have a 1979 Chevy Monte Carlo with 5 baby daytons,15 switches,12 deep cell marine batteries and a 350/350 drive train. The entire frame is reinforced with steal and chained rear. Can’t forget the 10 chain steering wheel. Same green as this 1 sitting in my driveway.
