As a guy what used to go gem & arrowhead hunting with my Uncle and Great Aunt many years ago, you're way underestimating the gemstones! Most of them Crystals, especially the large deep purple Amethyst crystals good go for close to a grand by itself. You really ought to contact a Gemologist in your area that can help you price the most valuable gems. You could be looking at 5 figures worth of precious and semi-precious gems. Don't just give the crystals and Arrow heads away. Get them priced first!

Guys you should listen to those telling you not to auction these just yet. You have some red beryl in there I believe. It is very rare and just a little could fund Brodys education. The smoky quartz you opened when it started to rain, is approximately vslued at 2-3 hundred dollars. This is the best storage unit ever! You have clearly underestimated what you have. Nice collection. My husband is a geologists and collects rocks too, that flat, shiny, flaky rock in the beginning is called Mica. He collected rocks on trips he took to mines as a student and also when he worked a different mines . When we moved to Australia we got rid of it as we were not allowed to bring it in as they are scared of foreign pest and diseases being introduced. He since started another one. My husband's father was also a geologist and had a collection too in huge display cabinets in his office, so maybe the guy was a geologist. If you contact a university geology department, they might be interested. I feel that it did not belong to someone only interested in collecting crystals, but a geologist, as there are samples af normal rocks that could be samples of chert, basalt etc, also samples of ore bearing rock. My husband had some from the gold, copper, iron ore and diamond mines in South Africa, he even had samples of different types of coal. Some of the boxes have same stones in it , maybe split it up so geology students can buy different ones. Look at that roll of paper carefully. My husband had a roll of paper that were extremely expensive that were parchment paper used for mapping .

Out of everything I have seen people bought, I love this unit! Rocks are more expensive of what you think, so you made a lot of money with this one! I wish I could get a treasure like this one day! Each rock has a purpose, and they can help you in your path! And you can even open a shop with just what you have! You really won the lottery in so many ways with this one, congratulations! (the one that looks like a small candle holder which is white, is called selenite and that one cleans out the energy of any other stone and around you too, its very powerful...I have one always near me) I really wish you would come back to this video and tell us what you did with everything, if you saw a professional to get the real value of each and how much you made with this beautiful lot! Hope you didn't break any...none of them are to be broken, each have a story to tell and a purpose! Crystals will be more expensive than rocks but rocks are used for other things, like stone massage, etc...the shiny one is pyrite: pyrite stone - Pyrite stones can be used for Wealth, Reiki Healing, Feng Shui, Vastu, crystals for healing, meditation, Vastu correction, and attracting money!

I know you’ve probably already guessed, but it looks like he was a dealer, but he also went out and rock hunted (the boxes of generic, non-wrapped rocks). Moonstone (good quality) when sliced and polished will not be totally see thru but will have depth with blue or green flashes sort of like opals do. your fossils can be valuable. I see mica and other things that do not have much value. Split your flats because the heavy weight won't endure mailing very well and the cheapest way to mail for me was flat rate priority then you still need to wrap well and add more insurance if needed. But I did see some chrysocolla and maybe variscite which has good value. You might check with a rock club to help give you a value. I bought the contents of a rock shop one day 36 van loads and 3 pickup loads a 100 miles away and had beautiful things in it and some were crap but I spent $3,500 which I made money on, added to my collection and gave a lot away and expanded my hobby.

This storage unit is the best ever. My grandfather s retirement hobby was rock collecting, cutting and crafting into objects.

The item in the case when you were showing the arrowheads is at 19th clay pipe. Before cigarettes were rolled in paper, clay pipes were made to smoke tobacco. Especially in London, by the 1000s upon 1000s since the 17th century. Probably not worth much unless there is a maker's name on it. Not saying it is from UK, but that's where I've seen them in YT videos about "mudlarking" people who look on river shores for old artifacts. So cool! $$$
