Please don't take the tile and old tools to the dump. Donate to a Habitat Store or similar in your area. They will take old furniture, tools and building materials that don't have to be put in the dump. Just things that you don't want to store for the yard sale.
@geraldstoddard82155 ай бұрын
My guess on some of the things you found include a tile cutter, a pocket hole jig (the second thing you pulled out of a box), used to drill holes in wood at an angle to hide screws and that big metal contraption looked like an old school TV wall mount. 88 for the Cowboys is Michael Irvin.

That vest you were looking at is a fragmentation protection vest from the Vietnam era not a bullet proof vest. It would protect the soldier from sharpnel but not bullets. Look at any of the videos from the war and that is what the soldiers wore. It is something a collector will buy but they are not worth a whole lot as they are not rare.

Yep, and they were in use at least until the mid nineties, we called them chicken plates.

That military vest was a flat jacket, that was the only body armor we had besides a helmet in the 80s 90s, pretty the same gear they had late Korea war and Vietnam war. Only protected you some what from frag grenades, but didn’t protect you from, bullets, other types of grenades, and it was only limited to protect from frags at a distance not close up. Don’t think they start with the body armor that stopped bullets till late 90s early 2000s. The body armor is about 80lbs with the metal plates and leg plates. Me I rather just go with the flat jacket 18 to 20 lbs. and I could carry a lot more ammunition and stuff. These guys are limited with amount of gear and ammo they can carry. We also did a lot of more walking out in the field marine weren’t big on convoying in my day

Dallas Cowboys - #88 WAS Drew Pearson! Was with the Cowboys 11 Seasons beginning in 1973. He was inducted in the Hall of Fame in 2021. HUGE Cowboys Fan Here!!! That football, if it's authenticated, is worth a lot of money!

That blue thing I think it was in the first box. It’s a Kreg jig for drilling pocket holes for building furniture and other items. New they sell for around $100 with the drill bit and case. I would say you’d get an easy $40-50

Giant is a high-end bike brand, worth checking the type (usually on the frame, under the saddle) and getting it cleaned up. For any bike, check if the frame is carbon composite, if it is it's really expensive (new retail price 3-10k). This one has weld marks on the frame so def not carbon (aluminium probably), it should also be very lightweight. Schwinn not worth much.

Hey Jebus, just a FYI, but there's no such thing as "bullet proof." Bullet resistant is more like it, as any material will eventually fail. Some sooner, some later, but they all will provide just temporary protection.
