With all due respect, I would recommend that you dump the warranty - hopefully without a cancellation fee. They are always a rip-off, and $6,000 for one is particularly insane. Besides, you will only keep the truck for 6 months to a year, and then you will want a Ford Lightening or a Rivian or Tesla Cyber truck, if it’s out by then. You will likely never use the warranty.

@@mexicanspec Yes. I suspect they have a cancellation fee, otherwise it wouldn’t benefit them to sell Randy the extended warranty. Plus, the cost of the warranty is 1/6 the $35,000 price he paid for the truck, which is ridiculously expensive. Other than the marketing value the dealer gets from Randy’s channel, there is no other reason they would sell him a truck at such a discount from the MSRP, when all other dealers are adding thousands in market premiums to their MSRPs.

To be honest my opinion cars are losing assets I wouldn't spend 170k on cars and trucks. I got my first house at 21 years old and made 100,000 in profit there is no way I would put even 100k in cars and trucks that are losing assets how does randy spend 100k blows my mind. I own a Tesla X P100 and I know what you're talking about as far as taking off. Right now it's at Tesla, they're replacing the battery, luckily still under warranty and they're covering everything. The only problem is that it will take about a month to do the job, but I rented a Tesla that is covered by the insurance, so no problem.

After 25 years of credit card debt, I (last month) got that debt to $0. I most definitely can relate. $500 per month added back into available funds is a HUGE chunk to someone that was on disability since age 62. Of course, now a tree is going to fall on my house to eat all of that up (not thinking positively - just realistically). I also have a restored '68' Mustang and '93' Mercury Capri with both tops that I'm thinking about selling at least one, so I can park my daily driver '07' Kia Rio in my garage and not have to scrape windows most winter days.

Good move. The Diesel is not good if you aren't heavy hauling, my 2014 5.7 Ram tows great, I have towed 15 cars including a 1963 Galaxy and a 1994 F-150 on a tandem axle trailer with no issues and average 13 MPG while towing 300 miles in LA/TX. I get 20+ MPG empty. At 160K miles now and no major issues with the truck. Stay under 11K tow weight and you are fine.

For what you’re doing with a truck, I think you totally made the right decision. I have a 2021 3500 limited dually. I bought it because at the time I was towing a 42ft gooseneck almost daily. I’m not doing that now so after seeing this video I’m going to go check out my local Ram dealer. Sure the big diesel is wonderful and a truly beautiful truck. But I don’t need all that capability anymore.

Congrats on new house, you probably know this, but we saved a tone on interest on ours, by paying same note, but in two monthly payments, and paying extra here and there, paid our home off in 11 years as to 30. Those two things saved us almost 200,000 in interest, check it out. That'll buy you a few extra cars or another house lol

Everybody always talks about how good Tesla's are but when they have to replace that $13,000 battery every 7-10 years they realize that its only cost a 10th of that to have a gas or diesel truck maintained in the same 7-10 year span and also these trucks/cars can go 400+ miles and then stop at a gas station and fuel up 5 mins later they're on the road. When you run out of battery it takes 8 hours to charge or more. Some people say well those trucks pollute the air well the Tesla batteries takes a ton of heavy diesel machinery to mine the materials to make a Tesla battery and when they charge their Tesla they're using grid power which grid power uses coal and coal pollutes. And yes I have had a Tesla I bought it then sold a few months later because of how expensive I realized it was going to get 10 years down the road.

We had a early 2019 ram 1500 and the 5.7 went out at 29k miles. That being said extended warranties are a complete scam. It took 4 months to get ram to cover the engine under the factory power train warranty. They sold you a 50k truck get 35 out of your head.

My grandpa has a 2011 ram 1500 5.7 hemi. He had a car hauler he built from an old camper thats heavy fully loaded with heavy duty trusses for roofing up parleys canyon here in utah at 70 and we barley felt the trailer. Them 5.7s are plenty capable of towing

Good decisions, I actually prefer the work truck spec of the red one, I think a truck should be a truck, an 88k luxury car should drive better than a truck in my opinion. Plus the red looks nicer and the V8 is easier to maintain long term if you keep it.

You will miss the bike, but you can always get something later. I miss mine but I never used it. Glad you got the 1500 as I would love a good review on it. I'd be towing 2500 on occasion. I've never made a car payment in my life, but I usually keep cars for 4 years. A friend on my mum always financed cars and got a new one every 2 years. Cheaper that way than buying them with cash. Something I should consider now that I put the vehicles under the company and claim the tax of cause.
