I Bought A TIG Welder, Then tried to learn how to use it. I can MIG weld but this is different. KSKS

In this video I set up the Argon gas bottle for my new TIG welder and then attempt to use it, it doesn't go very well. I will keep trying and learning. I bought the welder from R-Tech welding and I got the gas from Energas, it came with a new fancy connector to make bottle changes quicker. I probably won't need another bottle for about 2 years but its good to know it will save me 5 minutes every year, imagine what I could do with all that extra time. The dog is a Jack Russell called Max and I think he came from Hell or somewhere close at least. Thanks for watching. Karl.

You can't expect to produce Olympic quality tig welds first go, well done!

Good first go. Get your self a foot pedal so you can control the amps also wait till the steel is molten and sleep the filler wire into the puddle, don't let melt by the arc. Keep up the good work 💪

Why didn't you turn the reg gauges pointing upwards and then fit the flow meter?

I have no idea how to tig weld, but it was fun watching you try. I came over from makers playground. I will stick around to watch you learn

I've got no idea about any sort of welding. Wouldn't even know where to start but its great to see how you're getting along with it in real time. I didnt even know the work gets that hot either.
