I totally agree with you on that, plus some people have families and want to spend their money on them and if you can get the job done with mediocre tools then why not. Plus a lot of HF tools are guaranteed and can get replaced if broken.

I'd say you broke even. The Snap-on and Matco cart have value. A lot of the heavy equipment guys tend to buy the inexpensive large wrenches as they cost a small fortune from Snap-on.

Looks like you got a lot of various tools and boxex in great condition, while they may not be the highestquality tools they can still get the job done. I believe if you priced each tool individually it would exceed what you paid especially the basic toolboxes, so I would say you did OK!

I think that you have a decent amount of lower end tools that would do someone very well and you did alright for $3000.00 dollars. Having had my complete boxes of tools stolen while I was in the Navy I can understand the purchasing of the Harbor Freight tools. I have had to purchase the inexpensive tools like that to build an engine and do body work on my 78 Suburban and they did serve me well. I would like to have better tools, but I also know that it will be unlikely that I will purchase Snap-On as the tools that I bought seem to be of decent quality. I did not buy the cheapest tools from Harbor Freight but also opted for the lifetime Guarantee so that I can just replace them when or if they break.

Looks like you’ll probably make a little, could sell just the boxes and come close to 70-80% of breaking even, fleamarket or garage sale the rest but you’ll have a lot of time making sets to sell, might not be a great deal but I think you’ll do better than even. Good luck.
