That was worth a reupload Jody. I bought the Guanqin with the NH36 in it (if that's the day date) and it's a superb watch. Good advice about Wish. It's a truly criminal enterprise. I bought two Presage Cocktail Times. They were excellent copies except for the same serial number on the case backs, incorrect colour winding rotor, and they were stamped Seiko COEP not CORP, otherwise they looked genuine movements. After a complaint I got a full refund and kept the watches. Don't ask about the green Alpinist. It was truly abysmal. I whacked it with a tennis racquet where I shouldn't have and got another refund. Love from England.👍

I once bought a "Seiko 5" advertised on Wish as "new, old stock". I don't remember which model it was but it had been clearly advertised as an automatic movement. I think it was $25-30. When I finally got it, it was nothing like the Seiko 5 it was advertised as. It was even a quartz movement! So I complained to Wish (luckily I had screenshot to original ad) and eventually got my money back. The kicker to all this is that it turned out to be a truly decent beater. I wore that thing everywhere, in water, steam, sand, whatever. It took it all until the battery finally died. Not bad for a free watch, eh?

I’ve bought only one Cadisen in my life, and it was a piece of junk!!! It’s a divers style Chrono where the hands do this little dance instead of turning properly. I keep it because the watch proper does keep relatively decent time, and it’s a pretty color scheme, but mainly to remind me to never buy another. Great video as always Jody!!!

The fake Seiko has a 17 jewel, Tongji automatic movement, which is the old Chinese Standard Movement, with an auto-winding module tacked on. In most versions, the auto-winding is so ineffective, the watch won't last a whole 8-10 hours off wrist without hand-winding, and they have a theoretical maximum power reserve of 28 to 32 hours. These are the cheapest Chinese automatic calibers around, and can be found in $10 to $30 mechanical watches.

Even the font on the box is wrong. Chinese companies seem to have great difficulty getting English typefaces right. Not too surprising really; I couldn't tell Mandarin from Cantonese.

I bought a lot of seiko parts (cases, dials, etc) on ebay. I felt like I scored... until I got them and realized there were 3 fakes mixed into the lot. At least there were some genuine parts too, but barely worth the $ and the "feikos" are truly rubbish.

I bought a cheap watch on Ali Express because I thought it was a GMT. There was no labeling on the watch as advertised. Months later I get the watch and I am shocked they printed Rolex on the dial. I could never wear that watch now. I see the seller is gone from the site also.

I was looking for a hiking watch and fancied a suunto core. Saw one on wish for ridiculous money. Ordered one. As soon as it arrived I knew it was fake as the package was too small. Opened it and it looked like the real one but only had basic functions. Got on to PayPal immediately and got my money back within days. As you say if it looks like too good a deal it will probably be shite.

Jody your disgust and rightly so of the Wish "Feiko" is the perfect analogy of the outrages overpriced luxury Swiss "Wish" timepiece market which does exactly the same carnival barker principal. But in genius reversely, making a lover of watches believe that an example of a Rolex Submariner DateJust, a 904L stainless steel case & bracelet with time & date is worth $13,500 Dollars USD is truly brilliant. When in all actuality the Rolex is worth no more than a good old San Martian SNO17 V3 at $250.00 Dollars. Same old game, give the paying public customers the very least for their money as we can!

If you want a cheap Seiko, vintage quartz Seiko watches go for next to nothing. I have quite a few and have yet to buy one that putting a battery in didn't bing it back to life. Learn to change batteries and they will only cost you $1-$2.

Hi Jody After months of watching your videos and finding them very interesting and especially after watching your Pagani V Omega Aqua Terra video, I bit the bullet and ordered the Pagani via Pagani Factory. The watch arrived in good time and looks great, however it keeps stopping. I implemented a dispute with Ali Express but they rejected it because of the evidence (a snapshot). I'm not sure what evidence they require, but today I am trying to upload a video showing how the watch lost 30 minutes between midnight last night and 10:30 today. Uploading video (even very quick one) showing the computer time vs the Pagani is proving problematic, but it's all I can think of. Just wondering if you or any followers could advise as to how I might proceed. I am very disappointed as this is my first Pagani purchase and I now have no confidence in this watch at all. Neil

Man the watch companies should go after Wish. Them selling fakes and calling them amazing deals is something they've been doing for a long time now and how many normies have they suckered in instead of buying an actual affordable Seiko? At least the Chinese companies are getting honest about what their doing and just doing microbrand homages now with good mvmts. I love my Steeldive 1970. I'd love a Willard but I don't have that kind of money and with the Steeldive I know I'm getting a dependable mvmt that I could fix and replace if I wanted to. And I probably would given how much I like wearing it and given the fact that I'll never afford an actual Willard.
