Awesome video man, really appreciate the super in depth review! Honestly I was on the edge of my seat during the entire video because I'm not physically touching most of the builds anymore, so I love videos like this where I can check in and see how we are doing as a business. That's why I like making/reviewing them as well. Keeps us all honest and only forces us to keep improving. On a macro level, I think your review is spot on. I agree with most of your points and definitely appreciate the feedback. Also, sorry that you got the Version 1 with the 6500XT, you probably just missed the cutoff when we upgraded! Quick notes: 1. I'm not sure if you missed it, but underneath our parts list we have an asterisk that says "The brand/manufacturer is subject to change due to availability. Substitutions will include components equal to or greater than those specified in the listing." In my opinion, that's enough to cover part swaps like the EVGA PSU and the SSD. But I do like your idea of letting people know when there is a part swap, although that would be labor intensive. Maybe we can find a middle ground and improve on that. Thanks. 2. Noted on the benchmarking numbers! I'm glad they are advertised lower and not higher lol, but we'll get straight on that and get them properly updated. 3. You're right on the warranty, it's easily the weakest point of our business model right now. We are in a temporary holding pattern with that project until some big changes happen later in the year. Can't disclose details, but it would NOT make sense for me to increase our warranty coverage at this point in time. For what it's worth, we've never denied helping someone no matter how long they bought the PC from us. But yea, you're totally right, but it's a temporary placeholder for right now. 4. I've never seen a KZbinr nail down the explanation of why a prebuilt costs $200 more than the cost of the parts. I'm going to clip what you said and run that on loop for the next 5 years haha. Spot on explanation, thanks. Thanks again for the review! Keep up that hustle!

Realistically this should be considered a BUDGET build 700.00 max OTD. or sell it with an all AMD Core (GPU, CPU and MOBO) instead to bring the cost down. Good Vid!!

Shipping would be included with buying these parts to build yourself, so really it's around $280 extra for the PC, plus the additional tax you pay on the larger total of course. To be fair, after shipping costs and all the packing they use, they only see ~$200 like you said, but it's still an extra cost incurred by the buyer.
@PCTechHustle
@PCTechHustle Жыл бұрын
Yep! With the extra $200 the consumer will have to weigh it being worth it to them or DIY to save that money.

Wow... only 72 hours? Not what I expected. I get that parts are used, but I would think 90 days is the minimum. I even offer people free labor on upgrades with PCs they buy from me, though I only sell locally.

Thank you for the review. Would you have any solid recommendations for PC builders that have solid builds for 1440p gaming, and are able to back it up with a warranty? I'm currently in the market to get a new out the box gaming PC that I can use to enjoy games again. Thank you again.

Good video. If my brother was selling this pc at this price, I would not buy it. An older relative of mine who isn't an enthusiast gamer just bought a new pc from Dell on a "Amazon Prime" competing sale, they wanted the customer service from Dell if anything goes wrong and I live 10hrs away. It was a 13700f mid-tower with a gt 1030, they got it for $700 Cdn before tax but it had free shipping. The next time I visit them, I'll give them a new, still sealed in the box RTX 3060 8gb, not good for gaming but it will be better for RTX Video Super Resolution up-scaling video, their internet isn't great since they live rural. The Dell pc was a good deal but they do happen a few times/year. DYI is better than Dell for enthusiasts but some people aren't hardcore gamers.

Why bother to ship w/PSU pwr button "on" ?
@voteDC
@voteDC 9 ай бұрын
The answer is that generally if you are buying a prebuilt you are not computer savvy. That's why the bigger companies will have a sticker over the display outs on the I/O shield telling people to plug the cable into the graphics card. So by having the PSU shipped with the switch in the on position you are eliminating one more issue of "why doesn't this turn on" that the customer may experience.

I used to have my PC under my desk and I really didn't care about how it looked. Now it's out and I can see it all the time I've put a lot more care and attention into how the PC looks, after all if it is always going to be on display why not have it looking as good as possible?
