Hope you enjoy the video! Editing’s/audio is a little off so apologies! I had to do it on my laptop as my desk space isn’t setup yet after the move. I also used the same Rocket league footage twice by accident so 🤦🏽

I enjoyed one of these for a long time I parted with it a few years ago but they keyboard that comes with this thing is real awesome still use it to this day.

I’d have like to upgrade it a little! It’s just a shame the seller tried fobbing me off with laptop chargers otherwise I’d have kept one for myself most probably!

Haha! Yes that’s on the cards and should be not next week but the week after! We’ve got some Xeon action next while I wait for things to sell 😅

I had one for testing before selling it off. Ran better with a i7 4790k, 16GB RAM, and a RTX a2000 it only pulls 75w from the PCIe slot on the motherboard. I recommend the 330w Power adapter. Ran games pretty good with those at 1080p.

@@andystech101Yes during my testing I was able to hit a solid 60fps on Cyberpunk 2077 at medium settings 1080p DLSS set to quality.

There’s a few X51 R1 is ivy bridge and the R3 is 6th gen but they’re all in the same case.. might be worth picking one up on your travels if you find one cheap, cool little system 😎

This is why I prefer Nvidia. Well, one of the reasons. They still support their hardware with drivers. Like for example my GTX860M from 2014. If I had the equivalent AMD (no idea which that would be), I would be for years now without drivers and good luck with that! Good video.

😒👍 checkout Amernime Zone, they got you covered all the way back to HD 7750, radeon cards are usually way cheaper on the used market if your broke and u need something, on the other hand invidia sellers usually ask way too much for their cards but you might be lucky sometimes and get a steal, just stock up on everything 🙂🐢🐢🐢🐢

If I remember right that intro screen changes if you either update the BIOS or change the boot mode I forget witch as it's been a few years since I did either.

Definitely! You could sell the GTX745 as believe it or not they go for £30ish on eBay! Why? God only knows… maybe the 4GB but really that’s not worth a lot 😅

The correct power supply is 180/240/330w depending on the specific model you’ll get a different brick. You can potentially put an i7 4790 and up to a 200w GPU with the 330w brick though something like a 1660super would probably be more efficient. RTX4060 if you’re rich as that pulls about 100w undervolted 😎

Can you make new system with this case using am5 or lga1700 itx and using flex psu or sfx ?

I believe you can as the PSU is normal 24/8pin. You may have to get creative with the power button but the USB/USB3/Audio headers are normal as well.

just got a free x51 r2 at work used so i mostly use it for youtube and steam the only issue i have is my new gaming headset non usb and it doesn't work but the sound works fine when plugged in. Is it worth upgrading to a gtx 1060 or gtx 1090 i know its old hardware and just want to learn. rocket league runs and counterstrike 2 are the only games that run smooth for me

1060 would be a good upgrade depending on what you’ve got in there currently. I’d probably recommend a blower card as to keep the temps down. If you really wanted to push the boat out you could get an RTX4060 or the new RTX3050 6GB! Both use no power 100w and 75w.

still own mine 500gb ssd upgrade 16gb ram i5 4790k gtx 1050ti this was the i3 4130 version

I hate how proprietary these things are. I remember tech yes city cutting his finger really bad on one of these.

Mobo looks standard enough and could easily be recase’d. Though it would be ITX so not much point. The power connections and the usb, audio etc all look standard as well. Power button may be an issue etc… it’s definitely something that’s going to get worse in time I think…
