I'm thinking of going from my 2007 BMW 328xi to Porsche, most likely the Macan S which packs more punch then the baseline Macan. Curious of your overall impression between BMW and Porsche.

I will have to say the Macan is beautiful inside and out. Materials are top notch, everything just feels premium. But yea the power of the base model I drove was definitely disappointing. S I'm guessing would be much better as it's 100+ more HP. I've considered Porsche in the past but what keeps me going to back to BMW is comparing similar models to Porsche I can usually get better performance and more for my money from BMW than I what Porsche offers. But I love both brands, can't go wrong with either
