@@ZaKTricKzzz I've owned both: 3-door/F21 looks better (subjective), 3-door has way bigger doors meaning its easier to get in and out, esp handy when you a tall 14 stone guy like me. The doors on 3-door are also so big that if passengers need to go in the back and you push the front seat you basically got as much if not more space to get in the back than the 5-door. The 3-door middle frame between the windows is further back meaning it is not blocking your lateral sight while driving as it does on the 5-door. The 3-door also has slightly more pointy handling than the 5-door. Again after having owned both an F21 and F20 for years, the 3-door is mostly the better choice. If you're gonna be hauling people everyday in the back I'm guessing an M140i probably wasn't the best option to start with anyways 😅

Looking good mate and glad you have another m140i, I’ve just picked up my 1st m135i and I must admit I’m in love. She’s completely standard at the moment and I’m slowly working out what I want to do. Your videos are a massive help. I’m currently living in Guernsey so picked mine up for £11,995 with 46k on the clock on a 2012 plate with plenty of added extras. My original home for most of my life has been Falmouth, so when I’m next back in Cornwall would definitely love to meet and have a drive. Keep up the great work on the channel 👍

the 3 door has an underbody brace, 5 door doesnt for unknown reasons, but people fit the underbody brace from the 3 door to the 5 door to help fight the floaty feel

Handling is most likely down to the underbody brace which the 2 doors come with over the 4 door 😊

100% agree on HK audio. I'm not fussed for great audio in a car but moved from a Golf GTD to m135i that didn't have HK and it was really noticeable how poor the audio was!

lovely car Brett. you said you wanted to get the M4 control arms and tension struts, issue with these is that theyre not adjustable. They also limit you to 235 front tyres instead of 245 as it brings the tyres too close to the damper. you will have more adjustability with top mount camber plates

@@darktherapy personally I would code with pc program called e sys but I believe the option is in BimmerCode too it would just be changing the Fa on the car so the relevant modules know cruise is fitted, just make sure you do a backup especially with BimmerCode. As for the button yes you can pull the buttons off snap the stops off them clip them back on but you wouldn’t have the symbols on them. When I first started I used Kyle @definedcoding he can sort you out.

Ive had a 3 door and a 5 door m140 bud. The 3 doors handle better as they come with a underbody brace from factory where as the 5 doors dont, also regarding the rattling noise from the doors on a 5 door its the rubber seals which rub together when driving, i got mine sorted under warranty and was all good from then! Nice car mate a

Nice to be back in the game 😉 Yours is actually an LCI (pre-LCI means pre-facelift - the ones with the non-split tail lights), it's just a bit downspecced. May not have cruise control, but does it not even have a speed limiter? Thought that would have been standard on an M140... That rattle thing about the rear doors is so true - mine is coming up to 9 years old now and _something_ back there is making a not-so-rigid sound. Never considered it might be the doors, but I think you're right!

The 5 door “rattle” is the door seals creaking because of silicone contamination. The seals on 3 doors are different and not affected. Also because the 5 door chassis is more rigid they fitted the rear underbody brace to the 3 door to stiffen it up, you’re probably feeling that doing it’s job.

Congratulations dude on getting back in a B58. So glad you didn’t get your old one. Old mods and not documenting is wrong, I think you should. Don’t have to into the depth you have previously but defo cover them, show the part a time laps for fitting it. Montage perhaps. Mod wise I hope they are all tasty one and done to match. Are you going to get it remapped? If you do please don’t use the place you did last. I can highly recommend a place that will help you no end.

Those eagle F1 Supersports are brilliant tyres though, great in the wet like the PS4S, but are more sporty so you get better feel, and are a fair chunk cheaper than PS4S

Everything rattles in them, to be honest, mainly the armrests and some people say boot hatch/latch.. Also yes, people do say 2 door handles better than 4, guessing it's more rigid at the back..

Mad that you can buy such a new car without cruise control and heated seats in the UK. That shit's been standard in Sweden since the 2010s. However, we pay so much more for our cars new that you'd expect such features as standard. Quite certain a new low spec manual M140i was around 35 000 pounds new here.

The whole seating arrangement is different but hey if you want to be that guy and tell me when I was sitting in a M140i and my shoulder was resting on the B pillar yet it doesn't in MY 240i go ahead. But I get you, the shape would definitely influence how you feel in the cabin, out of curiosity was the 140 a 3 or 5dr. Of course the 5dr is going to feel slightly smaller because of the size of the door but on a 3dr this would be similar to the 2 series coupe. But trying to convince me that the 2 and the 1 are different platform cars is absurd 😂😂
