@@rubberlessg241 I think you're asking if an OTS tune could blow your motor? Definitely. I always looked at an OTS tune as a temporary tune to flash on your car so you can drive it to the protune. That's how I always looked at them anyways. Alot of the time it's from people flashing a certain OTS tune on their car and the mods aren't exactly what that tune is calling for.

going off what the previous owner said, it sounds like it was his fault for blowing it. 21 psi on a stock turbo is waaaaay different than 22 psi on a 20G. he said he was pro tuned on stock turbo for 21 psi but only hit 22 psi on the new turbo setup which tells me he never retuned for the larger turbo.

I drive a '11 WRX, and I just, I will never sell that thing. I baby her and she's my love. I can't imagine selling her even if she has problems. It sounds like when that guy tuned for a different turbo, he just didn't take care of his car, and pulled too many times when on the street with low oil pressure, and just did that enough times and got knocked. Subies need absolute attention to oil levels or else you pay the price.
