Today I am trying out etsy art supplies and tools! You can't buy anything like this in stores I'm really amazed at how great everything is - totally shocked!
Handmade art supplies have been a thing for a while, I even did a video trying an etsy craft kit / box a couple years back!

I’m not sure if anyone has pointed this out, but the brush holder looks like it was laser cut! You said that the inside of the brush holes was finished with paint, but what’s really cool is that’s actually the burned wood from a laser cutter! I think laser cutting is a really cool technology and could be used for so many things! ^_^

Not only are those items beautiful, they're well designed too! As many hours as artists spend in the studio, having the best equipment you can afford isn't just a luxury splurge, it's a necessity. Anything that promotes better art and a more enjoyable experience is definitely worth it!

The resin paint pallette definitely had pressed dried flowers in it. Fresh flowers go all brown when they come into contact with resin and depending on the type of flower, the water could cause the resin to not cure correctly. It is beautiful though ☺️

the brush holder must be really good for who work with miniature painting and dioramas, since you need so many detail brushes. I feel like every youtube artist should by this, because they seem so practical for any type of artist

The paint brush rack isn't painted. The black is burning because it is laser cut.

I'd say that brush holder looks ideal for watercolour artists and crafters/hobbyists who paint miniatures. I love watercolour and rarely work on surfaces larger than an A4 paper size so the bulk of my brushes are tiny. My go-to workhorse brush is only a no.6 round.

The black inside the holes of the paint brush holder is burn marks because they are cut with a laser. 😂

I so desperately need one of those brush holders, and then I went to the Etsy page and realized that it was over $100 between shipping and exchange. I'm all for supporting small-business but that's ridiculous. I'm going to look for somebody local that does laser cutting and see whether or not they can copy the design. Thanks for the idea though.

I don't think that the holes have black paint in them. I'm pretty sure that the paintbrush holder was made using a CNC laser cutter and the black is from the laser burning through the wood.

I made a resin palette like that. I think it's too pretty to use, so I hang it from a command hook on my wall. Maybe I'll make more in the future and use the ones I like the least.

I know I would never put my paintbrushes away properly if I had to put them in that organizer. 😂 I have about 110 paintbrushes (I counted sometime in the last 6 months when I was going through them to organize) and I just keep them in 2 nice jars. A jar of larger ones and a jar of smaller ones. It doesn't matter which jar medium sized ones end up in. They're also far more portable that way, to move between out-of-the-way storage and workspace as needed. That giant organizer seems inconvenient. 🤷

Fantastic video Chloe! I have been wanting another cup for my watercolor rinsing, but I want one that I can put a Paint Puck into! I am not as sure as you in the ability of the ceramics to not wear out my brushes with the criss-cross pattern in the bottom. I love the dip in the rim for an additional brush rest! I hope your able to do more Artsy Shops. I have purchased from Etsy sellers for a while and they are still a good place to go to get Artisan products and support small businesses. Personal websites are best, but they can be difficult to find, perhaps that might be a video topic? I think a lot of people tune in to your videos and this is a smashingly grand idea!

Chloe I love your videos but I need to say this... Etsy *is* a store, and very few of those things are actually handmade. I can name 3 of the items you showed that I know for a fact are mass produced in Asia and resold by multiple sellers on Etsy -- because I've seen them for sale on wholesaler websites with the same pictures as on the Etsy listings. If you feel the pieces are worth what you paid, I'm happy for you, I just wanted you to be aware. A good place to get pretty but inexpensive ceramic watercolor supplies is an Asian market - noodle bowls with chopstick notches, chopstick rests, and soy sauce bowls come in a variety of designs and are very inexpensive.

9:26 It's a good thing you don;t hold it like that...because that's not how you're supposed to anyway....Normally you put the thumb in the hole, the other fingers on the indentation and the bulk of the palette rests on your forearm PS: I don't think that brush holder has "black paint inside the holes" it's just how wood looks like when you use the laser cutter

You should leave a review for the brush holder and suggest they add a box like compartment to the back for the larger or more arbitrary paint "brushes." It would then make it perfect.

It's made with laser cutting so on the off chance you know anyone with a laser cutter or some diy skills and drills you could make your own or see if anyone you know or a local crafter could make you one with bigger holes to suit you better :) Edit: just saw when Chloe put the etsy shop name up that they do customs!! You could see if they would make one to suit how ever many brushes you own and get the holes cut bigger to match the ergonomic brushes !!!

Fresh flowers go brown from the heat of the resin used. So the flowers in the palet are dried and obviously pressed.

I don't think the black inside the circles of the brush holder is paint. They probably lasercut it which creates this black edge.
