As others have said they state very clearly that these mystery boxes are defects/ overstock and if you buy multiple at once they will be similar. I have gotten 3 so far since they first launched (1 small and 2 large) and they definitely do change with time. The thinking putty does need a lot of heat to change and is tough but that is because it is a therapy device. This company is local to me and they do take pride in being honest with what they sell and don't sell damaged things without you being aware

THIS!! Plus the problem with the Tik Tok mystery box, Like people on Tik Tok will obviously not flat out say "hey what you're actually getting is crud compared to the ADVERTISEMENT" Jackie would complain and blame the tik tokers for not being open about what they're actually getting when in reality they can't because then people won't buy the products. It's advertising 101, is it immoral to leave people in the dark yes but how else are your going to sell your product... it's your job as the consumer to be smart about what you're throwing your money at and be wary about certain ads. If something seems to good to be true then it probably is.

Okay crazy Aaron’s putty is actually an incredibly good putty and I’m surprised that that one didn’t come with a little black light because normally they do if their glow in the dark. Also the solid glow ones are usually harder than the normal ones I’ve found so that’s perfectly normal. Also the glow on those putties are absolutely amazing if charged under black light or sunlight like any other glow thing. As for the heat aspect of it I think it needs a little more heat, like breathing on it, or something. Either that or the color it changes to isn’t the best choice because it’s so close to the original.

When I was a kid my dad severely injured his hand and had tons of those therapy putties. My brother and I would play with them all the time. Some of them were so hard that dad would have to knead it for us and soften it up before we could play with it because to us it was like a rock at first. But that was the point. It got him exercising his hand to get his tendons working again and restrengthen his muscles. As much as we played with those putties, it’s no surprise to me that now they’re a series of toys.

Our town has a Dollar Tree and about 6 other type of "dollar" stores (some don't hold to the $1 only price tag). But I've seen every one of those candies at some point in my town for around $1. I guess it varies a lot from store to store. 👍😁

@@lauracavanaugh7466 It varies from region to region too. My city doesn’t have a Five Below store and only has Dollar Tree. Y'all have smencils at the dollar store!? We used to have them as a luxury thing in Aussie primary schools (Grade Prep/0 to 6) they were kinda like a scholastic book fair thing where you had to order them specially to get them and they were THE coolest thing you could get and definitely were not a dollar 😅
@xylophone59362 жыл бұрын
Smencils were sold after school or in book fairs for like a dollar or two where I was

The pencils and erasers were probably at the dollar store because they couldn't sell them and Dollarama bought any they didn't put in mystery boxes, out at a discount.

That thinking putty is usually that hard when you first open it and after not playing with it for a while. But it softens up after kneading it a bit.

Crazy Aaron's Thinking Putty is amazing (the magnetic putty is my favorite!), but I only ever buy it directly from their website. I feel like that's the only way to know you're getting product that hasn't been sitting in a warehouse for who knows how long.

Trust me, those little meal worms are actually not bad. Better that way then just cooked without drying.

I live in Mississippi (southern US), and we have a couple dollar stores in our town. And I have seen every one of those candies at our Dollar Tree store at some point, and most on a regular basis. They are not worth the prices that Vat19 listed. Hope this helps. I agree that except for the middle box, the others weren't worth it. 😁

I love Crazy Aaron's putty! It's almost as firm as the putty my occupational therapist gave me but softens a little as you play with it. They have multiple firmnesses too! It's my favorite fidget of all time

I was really waiting for you to be impressed by the thinking putty but wow that color change was underwhelming, i guess it was their least popular one! Because I’ve had both color change and glow in the dark (separate) and they were both amazing

You just have to hold the putty longer it works and it’s not exclusive it’s at bookstores.

I saw the Thinking Putty and I got really excited. I love that stuff. I got some while we were stuck in that children’s hospital to help with pain and I ended up LOVING it. I have one that smells like rosemary. It’s really relaxing. That tiktoker who goes “hello my priends” would use that lip balm. The small and ultra boxes were pretty disappointing.

Don't knock the Larvets! I don't know about the BBQ flavor, but I've had their ranch flavored ones. They're actually good! You don't taste a "bug", you just taste the flavoring. They're crunchy (like a chip). I bought them because my daughter and I tried them as a "free sample" at an educational museum, and liked them enough to buy our own at the gift shop. Also, I get the Cookie Dough Bites at my local dollar store. So not worth the $3.99 price tag that Vat19 is putting on them.

My favorite is the teeny tiny PacMan game. I'd say it was the lip balm, but it's second because of childhood trauma. When I was about 8, my friend at school brought in a giant strawberry Lip Smacker, which at the time were by Bonne Bell. The great thing about the ones back then is they came with a loop on the top and a string so you could wear it. I begged her to let me borrow it for the weekend, and she did. Her mom called my dad and said she wanted to get it back. My dad told me in front of my grandmother that I had to give it back and I burst into tears. He said we couldn't afford one for me, and my grandma was "not allowed to buy me one either". I cried and cried, and clearly never go got over it because I now "collect" lip balms and have for about, hmmm, math time, over 40 years now. So Dad, lesson I learned: deny your child a simple thing now, create a hoarder later. LOL. * cries a little *
