Definitely try snapdragons! Winter sowing works great. You can never have too many seeds 😋

I have the best luck with poppies when i start them in january using the winter sowing method in milk jugs. Then they do fine.

I usually have no trouble with getting poppies to grow, but the Sissinghurst White and Amazing Grey gave me trouble when I first tried to grow them two years ago. I'm in zone 4/5 and try to scatter poppy seeds on last snowfall, often after the snow has gone, but it is still freezing at night for a couple more weeks. Any sooner, and insects, mice, and birds eat the seed. This last year I actually seeded them in a tray indoors because I has zero germination outdoors the year before (although my other poppies came up). Although, typically they are difficult to transplant, they did germinate well for me indoor and were easy enough to transplant (that surprised me). Seed is usually good for many years, and I collect my own seed each year to broadcast. These two seem to be in high demand, but by many-- it seems-- hard to germinate. Good luck!

The high scent by botanical interest sweet pea is my favorite ❤️ Your Dalmatian foxglove is named like this because it comes from Dalmatia (a region of Croatia) not for the spots ❤

Another great seed haul! I’ve had great success with that particular cilantro from BC. I have wayyyy too many seeds too. My friend and I say “it’s an investment!” Haha

The great thing about seeds is you can always save then and plant later. I have so many! Love the variety you have. I too am a flower lover.

Hello Sage, first of all Greetings from Austria :) I just wanted to make sure that you are aware that digitalis and foxglove (If my Translation was right ^^) are poisonous. Maybe you already know. I wish you good Luck with your Projects, I am looking forward to watch them :) Best wishes Carina

Yes! So are some sweet pea varieties and I'm sure a handful of others in this mix. Makes them deer and rabbit resistant though! The only ones I would eat or give to my animals are the herbs at the end.

I know you guys dont get snow (often) lol but since youve gotten some cold weather you may be able to winter seed poppys. Thats what im trying this year. Check out garden answers poppy seeding video from last year ❤

I would winter sow them if I were sure I knew where to put them! I haven't quite decided on a few things for spring yet, so I'll probably just spring sow and/or transplant them.

Maybe order Chip Drop and plant into the deep mulch (in pockets of compost or top soil) rather than try to remove the grass. You should try dahlias from seed (doubles). You will be amazed. Start them indoors about 8 weeks before your last frost date!

I wish Chip Drop would deliver to me! I tried it last year but I'm just too far away for them. I also tried some mignon dahlias from seed last year and didn't love them. The real estate on my seed starting rack is too valuable and I'm a sucker for a huge dinnerplate dahlia!

Paused video and still going to watch. I've only grown the sugar snap peas that you eat. My neighbor grows sweet pea flowers on her patio because they smell good and they climb up a trellis. I'm a little confused at you saying they were short. I think hers grew about 3-4feet on a trellis. She seemed grow a pink and white variety.

Good question, I didn't even think twice about clarifying... The whole plant vines and grows tall, but if you harvest the flower for bouquets (without cutting large portions of the plant and sacrificing future flower production), the stems are shorter than most cut flowers, so they can be tricky to use.

What a haul! 🤩 What zone are you growing in? Sorry if you already mentioned. Sea holly is rather difficult to grow from seed in my experience, so I just bought some from a local nursery.

I'm in zone 6a/6b. I honestly don't pay much attention to growing zones unless I'm dealing with very sensitive perennials. My last frost date is mid-Mayish and my first frost date is mid-Octoberish.
