And I never understood why people think these are underpowered.. They have a 250hp 3.5l V6, that was a lot of power in the 90's. V8 Mustangs only made like 260hp unless you got a cobra. Corvettes were like 335hp. Just don't understand the complaining, yes it's a V6 but the 3.5l HO is a goodie at that. And yes, manual transmission would be nice, but at least the 4-speed is shiftable with autostick. Shiftable auto's were still fairly uncommon at the time.

Congratulations on owning a Prowler! Welcome to the club! I have the Mullholland Midnight Blue Edition of this car. I really enjoyed watching the process and the steps you took to find the right "one". Your enthusiasm reminded me of me when I purchased my Prowler. Years later, I still love it. Even more! It's one car in my collection that I will never get rid of. One accessory you might want to get is a fiberglass hardtop for it if you plan on driving through all the seasons and day to day around the town driving. Also words of wisdom, keep an eye out on those lower ball joints!

I got my current car, a 2018 Hyundai Elantra Sport (in korea, too, so red leather trimmed black seats!), and I'm so happy with it, that watching this I was like "what *was* my dream car before? I've had a '72 Charger, a '87 RX-7, a 92 Plymouth Laser Turbo, and others, and I don't think I've ever been so completely happy with a car as I am with my 201hp 1.6l Elantra. I takes pictures of the thing almost as often as i do of my kids, lol! thanks for helping me decide to buy it, along with the Savage Geese vid! Enjoy your prowler, I used to work for Dodge in early 00's! fun cars and the 3.5L was a great engine (for the 90s)

I bought my dream car a few years back literally 2 blocks from my house. Driving back and forth to work I drove past an 3rd gen Firebird at a dealer's lot for a month, then one day the sun caught the hood just right and I saw the louvers in it. "TRANS AM!?" I said, hit the breaks, and sure enough that Firebird was actually a debadged sleeper trans am with the fuel injected 5.0. Slow as hell, but that rumble from the Flowmasters I was as excited as you were. You remind me of how much fun it is when you finally find what you had always wanted, at least mine was a cheep-o though :-P

I love these cars, got a model one on my shelf from when I was a teen. I also work in a parts shop in Norway that specializes in American cars, and I found out kinda hilariously while researching some brake rotors we had in stock, that the Prowler has Dodge Caravan/Plymouth Voyager brakes in the front. :P

Howard Key I think the point he was trying to make was keeping it as OEM as possible. Putting in an aftermarket head unit would definitely ruin the look of interior in my opinion.

WRB I see that. But upgrading the speakers will not change the look whatsoever and I couldn’t see anyone wanting original blown, paper cone speakers over some nice aftermarket speakers behind the factory grilles. Get a nice set of Focal, JL, or Infinity speakers and you should be set. I’m usually against changing the headunit. But a nice Sony unit with CarPlay and android auto looks like a stock headunit and functions wonderfully (look them up, they’re absolutely awesome AND have a volume knob.) I just wouldn’t do any modifications that aren’t able to be returned to stock.
