Invest in a large litre sized bottle of Rain-X windshield treatment, the brand of Cobra owners worldwide use on their windscreens. Use the ‘Fog’ formula on the inside of the windshield. It almost makes wipers redundant. And it doesn’t cost too much either, at least in Canada.

Awesome! You’ve probably learned by now it’s not like driving any other car. Put together a kit for your trunk that includes rainx for the windshield, sham-wows for the leak on your right knee and your right shoulder. And a few microfiber towels and some wash spray like mothers. I installed cup holders and cigarette lighters. They were a must. Enjoy your new ride.

I bought my dream car (a classic mini) at 19 (1 month before I turned 20) and I remeber my 1st drive. It was just over an hours drive from my house. To pick it up I picked my dad up in my other car to get it. I got to drive it too the petrol station that was 2 minutes away from the house of the bloke I bought it from. And then my basically forced me to let him drive it home!!! Most jealous hour of my life, seeing my dad drive for an hour across the coast on a lovely sunny day in MY CAR! But still one of the best drives and happiest hours of my life. A few months later I realised I spent every penny I had on a complete rot box and since then it's been off the road. Now I'm 21 and haven't driven the car since the Mot ran out about a year ago it's almost back on the road with a complete new floor and various other bits and pieces to make it safe again and drive properly. Money does not come in to that car now I've sunk a huge amount of money on what appears to be (unless you look from underneath) a fairly rough car. But still MY dream car that I have wanted for as long as I can remember and will never part with. The only step up for me is an older Cooper S mini or a Delorean (if we are keeping the dreams realistic that is) I never fully understood owning a cobra replica, until I saw this video and just how happy it made you! It has made me want my car back on the road all the more because that's just how I felt every time I drove my car.

As for not having an accessory power point, I drilled a hole in the upper back of the glove box and fitted a 12v power socket there :-) Don't cut into the main dash as it will look rubbish. Cheers Mark

I got mine at 21 back in 1992, a Pilgrim Sumo with a 2.8 V6, all proper Smith dials, side pipes, everything correct but it was a bloody Pilgrim. Had it built to a very high spec, should have bout a one bedder flat as a cash cow lol. Ordered a Kirkham now, 8 months to go….. 👍🥂

Hi all. It went 260 then the 289 Windsor then a 390 on the mkii version and finally a big old American 7l 427 side Oiler. You can find old 427s in Chris crafts, Lincolns, and a bunch of fords. The real trick with the 427s is trying to handle the power on them. They are relative death traps if you don’t know what you are doing in a 427. I digress. The main thing is they never used a Chevrolet engine in them. They were carols first choice but Chevy wouldn’t give him a chance so he ended up going to team blue.
