Honestly sis, attend a First Time home buyer workshop in your area. Not only will it answer a lot of those questions, it will let you in on anything down payment assistance that may be available in your area and may be a link to help getting your credit where it needs to be. They're usually free or for a low cost.

This video in particular was very inspiring as my husband and I are in the beginning stages of fixing our credit to purchase a new construction home. A lot of times we think we cant possibly purchase a home based on our score and what's on our credit so having the lenders review everything with us down to the tee has been super helpful. Thank you suga! That is awesome you and your fiance are looking to purchase. It was one of the best decisions for me. I just had a weird feeling about my first home being one that someone else already lived in...idk that's just me. My first year wasn't bad at all financially. I just made sure to not go crazy with purchases. Also, I didn't fully decorate my house in the first year. I got the necessities, lived in it for a year, now I know for sure what I want based on how I've lived in my space and I can purchase based on need and convenience instead of just trying to fill up a space. When I moved in I had my guest bedroom set, 3 TV's, master bedroom set, and living room set & my bar stools...that was it for about a year. I just purchased my office furniture in December, and I am working on completely decorating the living room. It's exciting! You and your husband will love the experience :)

Girl I'm going thru a horror story right now!! I was in the last step of buying a home that I loved and bam!!,, the appraiser came in and appraissed it for $15000 less than what the asking price was😢😢😢 so after all said and done I have to start all over and I'm somewhat over it😢😢😢

Oh my God! 😮😮😮 That happened to me, but it was only $1600 less than the sale price of the home. But the same thing happened with my mom, and her house was appraised $20,000 less than the sale price so the builder had to drop the price & sell it to her at the appraised value. DR Horton dropped the price on mines as well. Is that not what they are doing with your home? It’s actually very common with new construction. It should be a great thing for you unless the builder is asking for the difference as part of your down payment.

As much as I want a home I'm refuse to go through that kind of debt... I just have to trust in God that he will provide as he normally does and guides me where he wants me to be👍👍
