I bought my first supercar - Ferrari 488

I finally bought a Ferrari. Specifically a Ferrari 488. Never would have ever thought this would happen. Truly surreal experience and very fortunate to be able to appreciate such a thing.
The F-Type SVR has been sold and of course I still have the Tesla Model 3 as my daily car.

Major props for not being a sheep and getting a Tesla Model S! Looks like you actually know your cars and love to drive. I'm a bit (maybe a lot) lower down the ladder and i'm currently shopping for a BMW M3/M4 range of car. So many people would just go with a Tesla Model 3 performance, or Model S, but being a petrol head and someone who actually knows what to look for in a car, i'd never even consider one.

I own a 488. You don't have to shut off the car to put it in park. Near your knee is there is a small button/ lever u pull to put the car in park w the car on. Or you can pull both levers to have it in neutral if you want.

I had the great pleasure of driving one of these in 2019 just before Covid hit, they are simply incredible cars. In the end I didn't buy it, mainly for fear of kiling myself and/or others. It is that quick. great chassis & suspension too. in my opinion a noticeably superior car to drive over the 458. (drove both in an afternoon). well done! Subscribed.

Most modern Mercedes also puts into park when you turn off the engine. Not really Italian feature...Also, why do you need to press a button when you are stopped and no longer need the engine to run? The feature makes sense for the car to put it in park when you turn off the engine

Congrats! I dont think you have to turn off vehicle to engage "PARK" - you should be able to pull both paddles to engage neutral and than pull e brake which would hold the car still while being on.

First of all congratulations on the car, I owned many super cars like Ferrari, had 911 before, went to Ferrari, back to Porsche, then AMG GTS convertible. I also change my cars very often, right now I drive a Taycan and AMG but I miss the Porsche - my next will be SF 90 and back to Porsche again ! Again, this is not a daily driver and people always look stupid want to sit in it or take a picture - sorry to say but the 458 sounds better then this 488 ! Peace !
