Thanks for the freezer tip. I just took some catfish nuggets out of my freezer last week that, on sight, some would have thought were freezer burnt because of the crystals but once i soaked them they were fine. I'll use this method the next time.

I love seafood! I love shrimp but found out recently that I have a sensitivity to it, among some other things (sad face). I love a good apple pie. There is a company about 45 mins away from me that has fantastic pies! Their Honeycrisp pie and Cherry Vanille pie is sooo good!! They sell them cheap...9" only 7.50!!! LOL, today special is 9" peach for only 5.00!

Chef, I previously mentioned that I grew up right next door in those apartments that are next door. I lived there and went to John F. Kennedy elementary school which was down the street. My best friend and I used to walk past the Flying Saucer shop as kids walking home and the people in there used to give us the left over pie pieces from all the slices they used to cut. I was eight years old back in 1978 so they have been in business forever.

Hello Chef, I want to ask you a question because the last time I’ve been to Kemah it was about 15 years ago and I used to buy the shrimp and fish off the boats that came in on the docks. Do you know if they still do that? Thanks
@OLDSCHOOLSOULFOOD3 ай бұрын
Idk actually
@howardbellamy63013 ай бұрын
@@OLDSCHOOLSOULFOOD OK, thanks. I do remember that the only time I could buy the fish, shrimps and crabs was after the stores bought what they wanted and then what the boats had left they would sell it to anybody that wanted to buy it for a little while nothing. So that they didn’t have to throw it away or use it for bait. When I go this weekend I’ll let you know if they still do that.🙏🏾
