Just before discovering this video I had ordered the one you mentioned as interesting on the site. That one with a "gold" and a black variant. I took the black one. We'll see. My primary use is to play bass 🎸 on it so I don't really have the same needs. For instance low E on the bass is 42Hz and there's no reason the speaker would ever encounter lower frequencies.

Not sure if they offer them... but when I was considering refoaming vs replacing 6.5" woofers for a Phillips Woox mini-stereo... I discovered some interesting things... First... I tried replacing the original drivers with some Sony and Aiwa drivers, that I had collected earlier. Both sounded like complete TRASH compared to the Original Phillips woofers. Next, I looked up the Company and Driver markings on the Woofers... They were from a Taiwan company called EastTech. These were MUCH higher quality drivers, than what is put inside of most typical boom box systems. According to what I read, these were specifically made for the special Passive radiator speakers... with a much longer Excursion ...to be able to deliver greater bass levels, without any potentials for over-excursion based distortions. And this made sense... as even at max volume levels, and the deepest and most powerful bass laden songs... I was unable to get these speakers to show ANY signs of Distortions. In fact, they had the most Deep, Accurate, and "Musical" Sounding Bass... that Ive ever heard (up to that point). No port Chuffing / Distortions. No "Muddy" sounding Bass. Very punchy and "Excited" levels of Bass response (adjustable, by tweaking the Bass EQ levels). In the End, I decided to just get the drivers Re-Foamed... and they were fantastic... until the foam on the Woox passives themselves, rotted out. Unlike the Woofers, there was no easy repair for the Woox passive units themselves.. as they used back to back passive that have like two expansion rings each (allowing for much greater excursion, than any other standard Passive Radiators). I believe I have seen certain WOOX devices that were made with all Clear Plastic (Rot Proof), but I never got hold of that version. Anyway... I just thought Id mention Easttech... as they seem to be much higher quality than typical Chinese made speakers. Of course, if you want pure "Audiophile Nirvana" ...get brand new drivers from Humanspeakers dot com. Search model " EPI 100v " speakers.. and click on the links to the two listed drivers. You will only need a single crossover cap for these, as the woofers are designed with heavier gauge coils, which automatically filter out the Highs from going into the woofers. These are Sealed speakers, and will provide Powerful, deep, punchy, accurate beyond belief, BASS. The special Tweeters, are Inverted (concave), and produce one of the Widest and 3d Holographic Sound-Stages, that you will likely ever Experience in your life. Almost the entire room, becomes the "Sweet Spot". Furthermore... these speakers sound insane, no matter where you place them... even if they are partially blocked, under a desk...etc. Also, you could be blindfolded, spun around about 10 times... and asked to try to Find the speakers... and FAIL to be able to do so... because the EPIs are so Holographic... that you dont hear the "Driver". Its as if the audio is holographically projected into the 3d space... without you being able to tell where the projected source is coming from. Meaning... its as if the band members are actually IN the room itself, playing Live. Ive never heard a speaker that even comes close to these. These speakers completely DESTROYED the local $3000 speakers, at the local high end Audio Shop. I got my EPI 100v Speakers used + re-foamed, for about $100. But if you cant find them locally, and or do not want to get them from Ebay... then buy the drivers directly from the site I mentioned. The guy that operates the site, used to work for the company.. and he hand makes the new drivers. Ive never tested his drivers... so I cant tell you if they are as good or as Improved as he states. All I can say, is that the EPI 100v speakers are a magical Audiophile level speaker, that will blow away your every expectation. You will hear completely NEW things in the Music that you have listed to, for several Decades... due to the powerful magnets of the drivers, that have some of the smallest levels of Distortions, due to Superior Magnetic power and cone control. EPI / Genesis made a lot of other designs, that feature the same drivers. At least one of these had a passive radiator design, with a larger cabinet. Ive yet to hear that version... and I do wonder if they would make them even better than they already are. That said, Ive also read at least one other post, stating the smaller EPI 100v speakers, sounded more punchy than the larger sized EPIs. I have no idea which model they were referring to, however. I believe all the drivers you would need, would cost less than $300. The box itself, is nothing special... so would be pretty easy to replicate. The single capacitor is pretty cheap, and is very easy to find online (or you can buy directly from him, for a bit of a markup. Kind of Understandable, as nobody can undercut the big Amazon sellers).

@@rawux1228 The sub i refer to costs $44.35 right now. It is also glass fiber but Ghxamp does not have an equivalent to this version or it is likely Aiyima is buying this from another subwoofer maker. The low frequency chart is so good that it is even better than the 6.5inch subs.

Don't underestimate them, i have their 4" 40w "carbon fiber" woofers and i put 2 of them in logitech z213 subwoofer enclosures repurposed as bookshelf speakers after adding aiyima 1" silk dome tweeters, i did extend the port by about 0.8" but I'm able to get down to 35hz from them although barely perceptible (probably 20-30db down) it's still quite impressive considering the tuning is like 55hz and the enclosure is overall on the smaller side for those speakers, makes you wonder what they'd do in a proper enclosure.

I wonder why there are so huge differences between measures and data sheets displayed on AliExpress. One option is that they simply cheat and make data sheets that correspond to the speaker they copied and not the ones they produce. Another worse option is that it is a lottery. Maybe they actually measured one speaker they've produced but the quality of production is random and if you buy a second set of speakers they'll be totally different. It's worse because if you want to make a stereo system you'll never have left and right giving similar sound. Maybe they've tested 10 speakers of a model and they kept data from one of them that seemed commercially better? If so yo have 10% chance to get a speaker matching roughly the dataset?
