Nice yarn haul! You did really well. …Velvet yarn makes pretty scrunchies.

I love when people give me leftover yarn. Great small projects and scrap blanket or scarf. Great shopping. The sorting is fun too! And donating makes it the best!

Love that you donate. I do too most of what I make. Nursing homes, homeless, pregnancy clinics. That was a nice yarn haul.

Wow what a haul. Good to know. I myself have a yarn stash, lost my crojo and could use the cash. Wondering now if I could sell mine, too?

I don’t see why you couldn’t!! Facebook marketplace would be a good place to get that extra stuff off your hands!!😊

There is nothing nicer than a scrappy blanket using the smaller scrap balls of yarn and just keep adding to the blanket as you accumulate more scraps. Even one row with a tiny ball adds interest! to a project. You will be surprised at how beautiful they turn out, just don’t mix yarns!!! Stick to acrylic or cotton etc throughout. ❤

Hahaha! Don't mix yarns! I'm currently mixing them as we speak. Not only do I mix yarns but I also use drastically different yarn weights as well. There are no rules. Some things just aren't for everybody...

@@ishbahmalik7675 Totally agree with you, rules should be broken (as long as you know the rules) that’s when you get the best inventions or design but for me, not for blankets. Blankets need washing, they also take an age to make so it’s best to keep to one material unless you want a disaster but if that’s your thing then go for it. Now if it’s a scarf or hat that’s took an hour or two what have you to lose? I only mentioned it to save folk the horror of disaster after weeks of crocheting something so big.

The big jumbo is bernat blanket yarn, you finger knit it, I've just made a double blanket ready for winter. love that you make stuff for the homeless too. have fun with your projects.

If you are using the cotton yarn for hot pads etc., made made fibers or blends can feel like cotton but are not fire/heat tolerant and can burn easily or melt. Try a burn test to see how the yarn deals with heat. Any hard melted bits may indicate some man made fiber, wool also is flame/heat resistant and should self extinguish when heat source is removed. Always do burn test safely with water and fire proof container (ashtray, or metal craft container) to hold item being tested.

Good reminder to assign my yarn in my will . . .. Someone would be Verrrrry happy with all those luscious natural fibers I have waiting for retirement (all assigned to projects). Thinking about my lovingly cultivated stash being sold for a pittance on FB makes me sad. I just told my husband to bury it with me instead (y'all are my witnesses)! Surely I'll need something to do in the afterlife (whatever it looks like). 😆😆

I love your entusiasm cause you make a really special work with all this projects for donation. Also I see what you mean about scarfs - during college my comfort projects were crochet beanies, easy, fast and useful and I made literally a pile of them 😅 good that they works well for people.

Your video appeared in my feed so I subscribed! Nice haul. I think the small wine colored balls are Soft and Sleek DK in the color Oxblood. I made a sweater out of that, so I think that's what it is. Enjoy your yarn!
